"As it is said, one can change their future with one decision. But in this case,my Mothers decision changed my life as well as hers, forever."

Lissa McAlister has always been given commands by her Mother,Lissa never had a chance to make her own choices.

Ever since her Father was kicked out of her life,Lissa has never been the same. School has been her top priority, winning contests, becoming valedictorian in Highschool and ending it on a good note. No boyfriends, no interruptions,no friends or extreme parties.

Her life is just the way she wants it to be,or so she thinks. Her Mother shocks her by announcing her marriage, which comes as a sudden decision.

CHAPTER ONE
I grin as I watch my favourite T.V show,Supernatural. This is the episode that Dean is the total opposite of himself. He looks so scared of every little thing, even small noises. It's hilarious. I take a bite of my ice-cream, the chill from the ice runs down my spine. Ding Ding Ding Dong Stupid doorbell, who could be there now. Its like 9 o'clock...at night. Whoever that is better have a good reason to be disturbing me. I stand up and walk over to the door, grabbing the keys for the door on the way. I open the door, sighing at the sight. Mother is here... "Hello Mother,so nice to see you",I plaster the widest smile on my face, hoping she buys it. "Hello Darling, how are you?",she hugs me and enters the house, obviously leaving her bags behind for me to carry. "Very good Mother",I pull her bags inside, this woman really doesn't care if I fall over and c***k my skull open and here she is wanting to know if I'm okay. "Why does the place look like a dump?,why didn't you clean up?",she starts ranting and scolding as soon as she sees the living room. And guess what's there,a single mug with my ice-cream is on the table. Overdramatic much?. "And ice-cream Lissa?,you know it'll go straight to your thighs. Do you want to have weight problems in college?",she asks as she sees me walk to sit down. "It's ice-cream,low fat vanilla ice-cream. And I don't have to care about my weight,I'm not eating to impress anyone. Now,let's forget my weight and talk about you. What news do you have now?",I ask as I spoon some ice-cream into my mouth. "You know that I don't only come over with news,I just wanted to see you",she smiles and I scoff as she sits down with her legs crossed. "Wow,nice try",I eyed her hands as she put them on her lap. "Really dear-",I cut her off. "You are getting married aren't you?",I say casually as I focus on Dean again. "H-How did you know?,I wanted to surprise you",she stutters and I grin. "The diamond engagement ring might have given it away. Who are you getting married to?,is it Daniel?", I ask while keeping my eyes fixed on the T.V. "Yes,he proposed on our holiday. It was so romantic...",she gazes away dreamily. "I really don't want to know. But it's good for you,he is a nice guy. I hope you're happy when you leave for California",I smile genuinely. "Oh no dear. I can't leave you alone, you are coming with me. You start college anyway, might as well start there. Daniel has good contacts with the deans",she says as the twirls the ring around her finger. "Do I have a choice?",I ask even though I already know the answer. "No,we leave for California in three days. Be packed and ready,I don't want to be late",her voice sounds so different, she seems happy. And who am I to stop her. I nod. I'll just have to deal with the move, for her sake. I want her to be happy and if Daniel makes her happy,I am willing to sacrifice. ~~~ It's the day of our flight,I'm completely packed and ready for California. My Mother can't stop double checking everything, she even got me a whole new wardrobe of clothes. I haven't seen them yet,I don't know if I even want to. "Did you bring all your trophies?,your certificates too",she rummages through my wardrobe, pulling out three more of my awards. "Yes Mother,Why are you stressing so much?. They are not that important",I pull my suitcases out the door with her trailing behind me. "I have your other photo albums with me,I'll bring them with. Let's go",she says before dragging it bags along as well. We reach the airport, boarding the plane immediately. I take the window seat, leaning my head back and closing my eyes. I plug in my earplugs before playing my favourite playlist. Zayn Maliks song plays,I think it's called "Dusk Till Dawn". I smile as I softly sing along. No one can hear me,I'm sure. My Mother knows that if my earplugs are in my ears, she shouldn't speak to me. And that's how I like it. Some peace and quiet is what I need, this flight is going to be so stressful. The last thing I need is her screeching and groaning as she talks about Daniel and his huge house. I mean,I know he's richer than some celebs but that shouldn't be something she's bragging about. I doubt she even loves him,she must love the gifts she's gets from him. I'm so sure of it. I heard that he has a son too,I haven't met him before. Today will be my first meeting with him and I'm not looking forward to it. He is probably some bratty player who thinks that he's every girls dream. I open my eyes, looking out the plane window. It really is beautiful up here, I love it. It gives me this sense of calm, the fluffy clouds, blue sky and the ocean below. I feature to the hostess as she walks toward me. I take a glass of cherry Coke from her tray before mumbling a thank you. That's the good thing about first-class,good food and drink with peace and quiet. This is going to be a long flight,I might as well enjoy it.
