Chapter 15
Rio and Ray bid the doctor a goodbye before leaving the room.
"I hope things will get back to normal." Rio said and massaged his temples.
"It will ." Ray assured him, patting his shoulder.
They both stopped at their tracks when they saw Akizen and Rhys hugging each other.
Looks like Rhys has gotten his mate's heart. Rio thought as he looked at the couple.
"W-we shouldn't disturb them." Rio said as he walked ahead and Ray followed him.
The two of them got out of the building and saw Chris and Nikki walking holding their hands together.
And Chris got his mate, too. Rio thought.
"You know, my mother has been hospitalized for years now, I really miss her a lot." Ray opened up.
"Why don't we go and see her then? I can accompany you." Rio offered.
"It's fine . I just have to keep my promise to her." Ray said, smiling at him.
"What a good son you are." Rio said, chuckling.
"Hmm. Not really. I promised her I would share her sufferings with me so I'll be selfless. I'll do everything to make others happy and forget mine." Ray said.
"Amethyst you really do love your mom, huh? But please don't forget to give yourself happiness too." Rio said and Ray just ruffled his hair.
"Rio." Ray called after some silence but Rio's spacing out.
"Is it Chris ? Or maybe Nikki? Or is it Akizen? Or Rhys? Tell me." Ray suddenly said.
"What? What are you saying Amethyst." Rio asked, confused.
"You're thinking of one of them. You seemed so jealous a while ago. Which of the four of them? Which of them do you like?" Ray asked, looking directly at Rio.
Rio's shock about Ray's sudden questions but then he answered "None of them."
"Then why are you looking at them like you're jealous?" Ray asked again, blushing lightly for some reason.
"Let's go inside, you're getting cold. Your cheeks are reddening." Rio said not assuming it's because of him.
"No. Answer me ." Ray said stubbornly.
"Aish. I'm not jealous of them, well... maybe yes but that's because they already got their mate- I mean boyfriends and here I am still not having a chance to confess." Rio said.
"Who's she or he?" Ray asked again.
"E-eh? Wh-wha- Amethyst. I-it's uhh-"
"Please tell me." Ray cut his stuttering making Rio looked at his eyes and he saw something that made him say "You."
"M-me?" Ray asked in a total shock and Rio nodded shyly.
Ray just stared for a moment then he kissed Rio's handsome forehead.
"I love you, too." Ray said. Happiness and excitement is visible in his eyes.
"Really?!" Rio exclaimed shock and happiness miRay in his voice.
"Yeah." Ray said.
"It isn't out of pity, right? I know you're not feeling well with this because as you said earlier you wanted to share your mother's sufferings with you so you'll do everything for other's happiness. I know you're a good person so you might just want to help me not to be sad anymore so you said you- mmp." Rio’s words were cut off when Ray put his hand on his mouth and smiled. (You thought it was a kiss? Lol.)
"I really do love you . I've always wanted to confess but... I'm thinking of my promise to my mom but now I think it's not good to be selfless anymore, it'll hurt mom more if I'm not happy, maybe that was just me feeling helpless and disappointed in myself that I can't do something for her. Also, I always forget what I am gonna say first so yeah." Ray said, scratching the back of his neck while blushing.
"I've always wanted to confess too but I can't get the right time." Then Rio chuckled.
"So all along we're in love with each other?" Ray said then laughed and Rio laughed with him.
"Then that made us a couple right?" Rio asked.
"Yes. But there's something we forgot." Ray said.
"What is it?" Rio asked.
"Uhh. What's that again? I forgot." Ray said, thinking hard.
"Maybe it's this." Then Rio pulled Ray to him and kissed him on the lips.
After a moment, they broke the kiss. "Yeah, I think that's it." Ray said.
"Let's go in now." Rio said as he walked ahead of Ray so he wouldn't see his eyes glowing light red.
