Chapter 13
"Are you the patient’s family?" The doctor asked as he got out of the room.
"We're their friends." Akizen answered.
"I see, well Mr. Kudo is stable now. You can now see him in his room." The doctor informed them. They are currently in the hospital.
"How about Kinien, doc?" Rio asked.
"Well as for him, he lost a lot of blood. He's a blood recipient." The doctor answered as he looked at the guys one by one.
"What's his blood type doc?" Eyvin asked.
"The patient's blood type O. The blood bank is currently out of O’s. I hope there will be a donor."
"I'm type O, I'll donate." Eyvin said firmly.
"Are you sure?" Rio asked him.
"It's Kinien we're talking about here. I'll do anything for him." Eyvin answered him.
The doctor just nodded and motioned Eyvin to follow him.

After an hour, Eyvin got out of the room he entered earlier.
"How's Han?" He asked as he got near Rio.
"He's a bit fine now." Rio answered.
One of the hospital rooms opened and revealed Chris supporting Nikki. Eyvin glared at them.
"Eyvin, are you fine now?" Chris asked.
"Tss. I'd be better if that thing didn't do this to Han." Eyvin said.
"Don't call him that, be respectful!" Chris raised his voice.
"If something worse happens to Han, I'll kill that guy." Eyvin said. His eyes glowed in dark red for a second before he walked past Chris and Nikki.
"You'll have to get through me first." Chris said before Eyvin could enter Kinien's room, his eyes glowed in dark red, too.
"Chris ge, I'm sorry." Nikki said.
"Don't worry, it'll be fine Nikki. Come on." Chris said then held Nikki's hand and pulled him.
Chris nodded at Rio telling him to assist Eyvin there for the meantime and Rio nodded back as an acknowledgement.

"Gege, because of me you and Eyvin are fighting, I ruined your friendship." Nikki said full of guilt.
"Just don't mind it. Now, you have to explain everything to me. You know you can trust me. I'll help you at any cost, always remember that." Chris said.
Nikki's heart is so touched at Chris' words. How can you still be this good to me after what I've done? He thought.
"I'm... I'm an assassin. I work under my father who's a gang leader. He gave me this new mission of killing Kinien because he said Kinien's father is a great rival of his friend in terms of business." Nikki started. He's slightly confused why Chris is still calm and not in shock but then he continued. "Believe me or not but I really don't want to kill him. We always transfer from one place to another after I'm done with a mission. Then we transferred here and Kinien became one of my friends. Usually people will get scared of me because of my appearance but Kinien, Akizen and Nike are not bothered by it. They approached me and befriended me."
"So, why did you still do it?" Chris asked, leaning closer to Nikki.
"Because..." Nikki trailed off. How will I say that it's because he doesn't love me? Nikki thought.
"Because?" Chris asked, unconsciously watching Nikki's lips as he talked for a while now.
"N-nothing." Nikki answered.
"You're lying." Chris said.
"I-I'm not." Nikki whispered.
"You are." Chris said and leaned closer.
"N-no. I-I swear." Nikki said.
"Spill it Panda." Chris said.
"I-I'm telling you i-it's nothing C-Chris." Nikki stuttered.
"You're stuttering my name Panda." Chris said, Nikki's heart is now pounding really fast and he's completely blushing.
"It's because- mmmp!" He didn't get to continue his words when Chris kissed him.
He's still in the state of shock when Chris moved his lips on his and he closed his eyes kissing Chris back.
They were just kissing for a minute when Nikki pulled back for air.
"Sorry." Nikki said not looking at Chris and turned around letting Chris face his back. He doesn't want to see Chris because he's embarrassed and because he's blushing crimson red. It's also a good thing for Chris so Nikki won't see his eyes glowing in light red.
"So... are you gonna tell me the truth or I'll kiss you again?" Chris asked.
"Y-yah! I don't wanna!" Nikki said stubbornly.
"Then you want my kiss." Chris said.
"Waaah! No. Fine! Fine I'll tell the truth!" Nikki surrendered.
"Good." Chris smiled.
"W-well, it's because uhh..." Nikki didn't know what to say.
"I'm waiting, Panda." Chris teased.
"Alright! Alright! It's because... I let myself choose. As I've said before, I'm going to transfer to another place after this mission is over but there's someone who's stopping me because I don't want to go away so I said to myself that if he likes me then I'll drop my mission but if he doesn't then I'll do my mission. I asked him but he looked so shocked and he said no." Nikki said.
"You didn't let me finish that time, you began to run away." Chris said.
"Really? Hey! What makes you think that it's you?" Nikki suddenly exclaimed.
"Because I love you." Then Chris shrugged.
"Y-you what?" Nikki asked.
"I love you. I'm gonna say it at that time but you run away." Chris said, leaning his back on Nikki's back.
"But you looked so shocked and then you said no." Nikki said.
"Right, you asked me if I like you so I said no because I love you. And who wouldn’t be shocked if your loved one suddenly asked you that? I lose my cool and overthink too, you know." Chris said.
Nikki didn't answer and Chris got alarmed and went in front of Nikki, it's fine now since his eyes are back to normal.
"Yah! Why are you crying baby?!" Chris asked.
"B-Baby? Waaah!" Nikki cried even more.
"Hush now babe, stop crying." Chris said then hugged Nikki.
"I-I'm so stupid! If I just... if I just let you finish what you're saying that time then this shouldn't have happened! Kinien will hate me now and everyone too and… and you and Eyvin are mad at each other. I’m so stupid!" Nikki said.
"Shh, it's gonna be fine. Don’t worry, panda." Chris assured him.
Nikki smiled and pecked Nikki's lips.
"Yah! That's so sudden!" Nikki said and Chris just laughed at him.
"Let's go inside now, baby." Chris said then the two of them stood up and walked inside the building.
