Chapter Seventeen
Ha’ven watched as Emma blushed and laughed as she fingered the beautiful wrap that she wore later that evening. Sebra and Saba Monda’s other wives had spirited Emma away when she and Ha’ven had finally returned to the village. They had insisted she needed to be prepared correctly for the evening celebration. When she had asked what the celebration was about, they had informed her it was for the hand-fasting for new couples. The young women would have a chance to choose an unattached male for their hut.
