I was woken up by a blinding light; weird enough because my room had black curtains and tinted panes. I opened my eyes and immediately tensed as I took in the room I was in. It smelt like cinnamon and Armani cologne, clad in dark hues of brown, blue and grey. It would have been beautiful to look at if it weren't for the fact that I did not know where I was.
Before I could get out of the bed, a pain shot up from my left leg. Now I remembered…
The nasty wound was dressed in a bloody bandage. It made me feel like I needed their help but I didn't so I ripped it open revealing the gory wound with torn flesh here and there. I liked it that way but I needed to home to heal myself properly with a few herbs in the garden.
I got up from the bed ignoring the sharp pain in my leg and limped my way to the bedside table. I saw my weapons all neatly put on it. I took my dragon dagger and put it in my sleeve ready for any unexpected attack; my batarangs clipped nicely on my boots and a simple pocket knife was stuffed into my pocket. Just as I reached the door, another door behind me opened revealing a very wet and shirtless alpha. His chest looked hard and smooth; his abs were calling out to me-
Shut up Jade! What's going on with you? He's the one who wanted to give your head to your mother.
"Good I see you're awake. We need to talk," he prompted as he leaned against the door frame. I pulled my face into a stoic expression waiting for him to continue. "As you may have realised, we are mates," he stated slowly as if I was a toddler. "So?" I questioned as our eyes bore into each other. "To say things simpler, I already have a luna who is ready to take reign soon so I don't need the likes of you to be around ruining my plans," he deadpanned.
To be honest I kind of expected that but it didn't mean it hurt any less. "Then why don't you reject me?" I whispered trying to sound strong just barely making it. "Because it's looked down upon to reject a mate in our pack. Hence, I want you to leave and never come back under no circumstances. Are we understood?" He practically threatened, walking towards me. "Hold your horses big boy. Who said I was planning to stay? I don't do love relationships,"
"Well then I'm glad we're on the same page," he nodded. I turned my heels and began to walk to the door, but stopped, "You know, I wasn't going to make this mate bond thing work but you have one particularly large stick shoved up your ass. You'd better get it out before you bark up the wrong tree and it falls on you," I ended.
I looked for the entrance and found it quite easily. I began limping home through the woods and just as I stepped over the territory, I felt two eyes watching me again. I did not know who or what this person was but I was not in the mood.
