Chapter1
Grghhhh...grhhhh... The alarm rang frantically, disturbing the heavy figure lying on the king-sized bed. "s**t! This darn alarm." Peters groaned frustratingly as he slammed the alarm on the floor causing the poor thing to chatter in pieces. He reluctantly looked at his bedside clock as he sprang up in alarm. He flew out of the bed to the bathroom as he hurriedly took his bath cursing softly under his breath. Peters is the third son of Mr and Mrs Vincent, he's the youngest of the three brothers. The fact that Peters and his brothers are blood doesn't mean his brothers accepted him in their midst. The other two brothers give Peters a hard time each time they come across each other which is very rare. They developed more hatred for him when they found out that their father had put his company, Intralid Ltd, under his control. They believe he is still immature and doesn't have the capacity and right to be in charge of the company. His father also starts to believe Peters isn't worth the company since he makes lots of mistakes that can implicate the company. Peters ran out of his enormous room with his shoes in his hands as he yelled out to his driver. The driver as well, hurried instinctively to the car as he drove out of the mansion with speed."You have to hurry, Steve, hurry. I mustn't jeopardize this contract." Peters said as he hurried his driver who also happened to be his best friend. "Don't shout at me, Peters. It's your fault, not mine." "f**k you, bro. Just hurry up, I don't have your time for now." Peters flung out of the car without waiting for Steve to pack properly. He ignored the greetings from his workers as he stood in front of the elevator impatiently. "Clara, Clara, get me my official suitcase and follow me to the meeting room." He called out for his assistance. "B...boss." "What is it? Why stand there like a statue? Get me the suitcase." "Boss, they left already." "What! Who left already? Don't tell me it's what I'm thinking Clara." "I'm sorry, boss, they could not wait any longer, so they left with the contract." "f**k!!!! Clara, you could have done something to bid their time." "I tried my best boss, but they said they have to leave." Peters looked at Clara once more as he dashed into his office straight to his office phone. He started walking around restlessly as he dialed the man's number. "Hello, Peters." "Mr Ridan, I just got to my office; please come down and let me sign the contract. "I'm sorry Peters, I'm not in the city right now. Try your luck next time." "No! No, Sir, you can't do..." He couldn't complete his words as the man ended the call abruptly. Peters fell back to his chair as he held his head in his hands. This shouldn't happen, that contract was what the company needed. He shivered as he thought of what his father and brother would think of him. He jolted at the sound of his phone; he signed when he saw his father's call. "Hello, Father." "Peters! Meet me at home right now." His father was angry. He stood up lazily as he started to his father's house, expecting the worst. On his way, he kept praying his brothers were not around. He prefers his mother over his father and brothers, and he knows that if she's there, she will stand up for him since she knows how to call her husband. Peters drove into his father's compound reluctantly, but he had no choice. He got down as slowly as possible dragging his feet behind till he entered his father's house. He met the fuming man sitting with his hands crossed and, unfortunately, his brothers as well, with devilish grins on their faces. "Good day, Father." "Bad day to you peters. What's wrong with you? Why are you so incompetent? I would not have given you my company if I knew this was how you were going to let it down the drain. You need to know how hard it was to call Mr Ridan to sign the contract yet you forfeit it. " "I'm sorry father, it's my fault. I will find something to correct the situation." "I hope you do so I don't end up retrieving the company from you."Peters bowed his head as his father made his way out, leaving Peters with his brothers. Peters does not want to have anything to do with his brothers, so he turns back, hurrying to his car, but as usual, his brothers come after him, taunting him. "Hey! Young brother, how are you pushing it." One of the brothers asked as the other pushed him to the wall. Peters closed his hands into a fist; he didn't want blood to flow. "Oww, he's too scared to talk. It's fine, let us tell you a secret, peters." His second brother interjected. "We called Mr Ridan this morning. So he left the company to attend to us." Peters looked up at the smirking face on his brother's face. Peters's face is already red with anger, and he keeps topping his patience. He must not lose it. "What you're trying to say right now is that you two were the ones who made me lose the contract?" He asked with gritted teeth. "You got the brains boy. That's very correct, and if you think of reporting this to Dad, I'm sorry to tell you that he won't believe you. We're his favorite son, remember, just go face your mama, little guy." That was the last tug of his patience; he feasted his fist into his brother's face, earning a yelp from them. He raised his hands to deal with them again but was restricted by his father's arrival. "You bastard! Get the hell out of my house. Must you always be violet? Leave my sight right now." His father yelped.Peters looked at his brothers and then at his Father before walking out of the house, still not satisfied with the way he dealt with his brothers.
