As a moment of silence passed, it was evident that there was a missing link in the chain. Unsure stares followed between the three of them until a huge thud came as the door banged open. A huge man, standing at 6'4 and laced in muscles held a musket in his right hand and observed the red mark on the medics neck, placing his arm around her shoulder to pull her in next to him. He wore worn black pants and a baggy white shirt with two strings hanging to tie the v neck on tie the front of the shirt. His skin was tanned and worn from the sea air and salt waters and his eyes, a sea blue, giving off a scary glare to the boy in the bed before speaking directly at him.
"Well there, Boy-o, I heard you from down the hall... Hope you got a good reason for touching my lady here because I am happy to end your life right here otherwise" His voice was loud and gave off a raspy edge but held a level of authority that made it clear that he was the captain of this boat.
When the boy didn't respond after a minute had passed, the captain pulled back the trigger and growled, "Well?" he asked showing no remorse in his actions. "I'm sorry." the boy said, his eyes showing an complete confusion. Willow could see he was struggling to explain giving her a sense of obligation to respond, when Claire sighed and stepped in front of the musket. "You will not harm anyone in this room, Do... you... hear me?" her eyes were serious and gave off an air of authority. The captain growled at her as he tried to move out of her way. "This is no time to play mrs nightingale...." he said, clearly angry at her reaction. "I am defending your honour as your husband.." his voice becoming less threatening as her glare continued. "If you act out, you won't have a wife or anyone to defend their honour," she said, following his movements. "He's only a kid and doesn't know where he is, I'm sure he was acting out of confusion. Give him a chance before you blow off his head." Claire motioned and convinced the captain to put the musket down but gave the boy a glare that would scare the strongest and bravest of men. "I'll be watching you boy-o!" he said with a growl and turned to give Willow a quick smile.
"Well if it isn't our village i***t back to us again." his smile dropped again for a moment. "If you ever give us a scare like that... be sure, I will pull this musket on you next.. We don't need to lose another good member of this crew!" Although his voice was harsh, she knew there was a sense of care behind what he said. "Aye, Aye" she said with a smile on her face. "No more acrobatics for me." With a nod and a wink, the captain turned to leave, giving the three of them a chance to take a breath.
"I'm sorry," the boy said, not knowing what else to say. "I guess I didn't think before I acted." He sounded genuine in his comment but Claire gave him a look to quiet down. "You're not the first and you won't be the last to act of confusion. Just be more careful with your actions. I will not save you a second time." She moved over to Willow. "So, tell me... How do you know each other?" she asked giving her a serious look. Willow turned to the boy, " I don't know. " Claire looked at him as well, "How did you meet?" she asked confused. "I don't know" the boy responded, "I just saw your face and it was like a fog lifted and your name came to me. It's all a little blurry."
Willow and Claire looked at each other, exchanging looks, agreeing silently to let this go until he was ready. "Well then..." Claire looked at the boy once more.. "Can you at least tell us your name? We would rather call you by your name.. unless you liked being called boy-o?" her voice was light hearted and Willow smiled at the joke. The boy blinked and thought about it for a brief moment before looking at both of them. "My name is Sebastian," he answered, giving Willow a strange feeling in her gut. She had heard this name before... but couldn't remember where. How did they know each other? Where had they met?
She agreed at that moment that she would definitely have to get to the bottom of this.
