Against Demons

Go, Yushiro-kun!

Why does the king wants to see me? Is it something that important? I can't help but to feel nervous, it's the KING who wants to see me.

Did I do something wrong? Or am I getting punished?

"Daijobou, Yushiro-kun, don't be nervous," Sora-san assuring me that everything will be alright. Once again, we used wind spells to fly to the capital.

While we are on the air, Sora-san asked. "Yushiro-kun?"

"Nani?" I answered her while focusing on sustaining the spell.

"A while ago, you did not feel drained or anything? I mean, it's the holy spell that you used. You are consuming your life force and spiritual power on using that. Even I, feels exhausted when using that often," she explained.

I can't help but to think. I really did not feel anything. Maybe, because this was my first time using it? Beginner's luck I guess haha!

We went to the capital because of the king's request. We are in front of the main gate when two soldiers crossed their spears on the entrance.

"We have an appointment to the king," Sora-san said but the soldiers don't seem to believe. Later on, a girl in mid 20's when near us. She's wearing a formal medieval attire so I can say that she has a position on the palace.

"Let them in, they are the king's guest." The soldiers obeyed her then we continued walking. As I observed the palace, I notice some advance structures; as if they were leaving in the future. There are flying vehicles and some of the rooms are floating. The pillars are well-decorated so as the statues scattered on the entrance.

While we're walking, the girl introduced herself.

"I was informed by the messenger that you have been summoned by the king. I suppose that I have to introduce first," she said.

"I am one of the superior guardian of Woofia." We continued walking until we arrived on the aisle of the king's throne. There, an old man with a pair of large ears are staring directly on us. He was intimidating, his presence screams power and dignity.

Power, reputation and status, his aura is screaming those things. You can see from one look that he's not an ordinary creature.

"Are you Yushiro-kun?" his low tone deep voice sent shivers to my spine.

"H-Hai!" I answered and bowed. I can't explain how nervous I am right now. I didn't even prevent to control my voice from breaking.

I was shocked when the king laughed. I turned my sight on him and to the one beside me. Sora-san is also laughing, covering her mouth to prevent a loud laugh from coming out.

"You never changed, King Auris," Sora-san said. I was dumbfounded, can someone please tell me what's happening?

"You did it again, father?" I turned around when I heard a small voice of a girl. It is familiar and when I saw her, I confirmed it. She is the same girl I saved a while ago.

"You? Hello!" she said cheerfully. She is wearing her red ball gown with a small glowing golden crown on the top of her hair.

Wait? What did she say? Father? The king is her father? I thought she was a peasant? Argh! CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT'S HAPPENING?!

"I'll tell you don't worry," I flinched when the king answer the same question I have on my mind.

"I can read minds, human," he said.

The girl stood beside the king. "This girl is the princes of Woofia, my daughter Celine. She's the same girl you helped earlier."

I still did not talk because I am confused about what's happening. "You looked puzzled, let me explain further. You see this daughter of mine is such a brat-" he said and pinched the girl's chubby cheek.

"Father! Stop!" The little girl Celine said then pouted.

"She escaped from the kingdom and dressed like a peasant, she wants to experience outside world that's why she did that. But I am surprised when you helped her even though you don't know her real status.

"And base on my sources, you are here to be prepared for the Eternal Training, am I right?" The king explained.

"Yes, your highness," I answered as polite as I can. I must be formal because the king is in front of me. The most powerful person in this kingdom.

"As a reward for your kindness and being soft-hearted. I will reach out the other kingdoms to give you special treatment and focus on you to make you stronger." I can't explain what I am feeling when I heard that from the king.

"Really? Thank you so much, your highness!" I said then bowed.

"But in one condition," the king added.

"Let me challenge you and see how strong you are." I didn't managed to reply to what the king said when a light ate us and bring us back to the grass field.

"We are watching you, good luck," the king's voice is echoing on the whole place.

Sora-san get a drop of blood and scatter it in the area. It is one of the ways to attract demons, specially the low level ones.

Minutes later, a demon with a huge body came. It's not terrifying at all, judging on the aura it emits, this demon is just a newly born demon.

It rushes towards our direction with it sharp fangs and dropping saliva. I creates a water ball and mixed it with holy spell. I jumped backward as I released the ball on the demon's direction. It shriek a painful roar as it endures the pain I inflicted. The water ball was like a poison to them. The damaged part was melted like a hot water was poured into it.

I continued attacking it until it vanish into think air. I didn't expected that more demons will come, five arise from the ground and 3 from the sky.

I panicked when Sora-san moved away from me. What the?! She's leaving me behind?!

"You can do it Yushiro-kun!" she shouted then laughed.

The five demons rushed on my position all at once. Before they could even attack me, I used fire spell and focused it on my feet. It created a pressure and lifts me up of the ground. While I'm on the air, I used wind spell to diminish the gravity.

I created a huge ball of water and add holy spell on it. When I released it to the air, it shattered into small pieces and rained upon the five demons.

They all got burned and turned into ashes. When I landed on the grass field, the demons on the sky breathe fire to my direction. Using ground spell, I created a wall to protect me. While they are busy breaking the wall, I chanted the spell for the Sun Imprisonment seal. The same time that they broke the whole is the same time that the light rays struck into them.

All you can hear is their loud roars until they vanished. I am chasing my breath after that fight, I used a lot of mana and my hands hurt because of the series of spells I released.

"Good job Yushiro-kun!" Sora-san praised me as she gathers the spiritual stones.
