Dominating Sewickley Heights

CHAPTER 6 KATHLEEN~ 2 weeks. It only took him two weeks to dominate Sewickley Heights, where their family is very good in doing so. Two weeks, I feel that a lot has changed. There are more people who are afraid now especially that the youngest King is back but in their own words, most dangerous. I haven't heard anything from him again for two weeks. I know it's selfish to think, but it was more in my favor that his time was occupied with regaining his position in Sewickley Heights than that he paid attention to me. I still don't know what he's capable of doing. But in just one day that he returned back here in Sewickley Heights, I am almost overwhelmed by shattering pain. He had made Theo's car explode while he's with me threatening me with cryptic words I couldn't even understand. And to top it off, he also the one responsible for beating Theo. Another thing that annoys me is that I can't report to anyone even to my parents and Theo. They won't believe what I say. There is not enough reason for Bishop King to come back to me with a promise of vengeance. And one thing I noticed about him, when I see him passing the hallways of Penn High or eating along with his friends at cafeteria. He is faking a freaking smile. Like it was so force. Like smiling is such a huge effort to him. I swear, I can almost see through him. He is not the person he shows on the outside. He is keeping something, away from everyone. And that what makes me scared even more. Because I don't know who my enemy could possibly be. And what he wants from me. He is a manipulator. Two weeks. Bishop King was the King of the New generation of Sewickley Height. As far as I heard, he was always in trouble. And he could easily get away with it. Even the principal of our school was so willing to turn a blind eye. The Saint Mary Chilles was more in demand in the past few days. More people go and his business is more noisy. Thank god, after what happened there last time, Theo never returned to that place. Off course, I wouldn't let him go to monster's territory. At school, no one tried to fight him. He has this new way of bullying students. He or his minions will put a piece of rose with thorns in the locker of whoever did something to him that he didn't like. Or someone who did him wrong or dirty. Red rose, for someone or a girl he wanted to sleep with. Bishop King is a f**k boy. A manic. He will do what he wants to you and you will let him without having to say no. In a f*****g heartbeat. He will do it wether it's in a classroom, restroom, lockers, gym, anywhere he wants to do it. Thus phase, I almost tempted not to go in school. I had this paranoia that one of these days when I open my locker, a red rose might be sitting there. And all I will ever do is wait for him to summon me. Will I let him? Will Theo let him? Just the thought of it making my head swirl. Anyway, Black rose is for someone he would punish. Any punishment he might think of. Last week, he drove a swimmer to transfer into different state just because that someone ask his friend on why Bishop King returned in Sewickley Height. You see, he is powerful. Everyone moves if he moves. So, if you were in his s**t list, expect s**t to happens. And that is the f*****g worse. "Are you sick?" Maureen asked me while we are walking towards the lockers. "No, I don't have--" I sighed, "--I just can't sleep well these days." Maureen nods, "How's Theodore?" "Hmm? What?" I stopped when I was about to open my locker. Oh, I forgot. The coach of the football team replaced Theo as the Captain Ball of the team. And Bishop King replaced Theo and that is why Theo has been so pissed lately and we often argue these days. And I understand him, this year is important to him. He has to be the ball captain who captures the attention of the NFL Scouts in the upcoming championship. But Bishop King stole that spotlight to him. In just one snap, Bishop King changes Sewickley Heights. "Theo?" Maureen pressed. "Oh, he's fine. He will come around if he cools down to the situation." I smiled, almost forced. But the thought keep pushing into my head that what if Theo isn't. Maureen nodded, "I have to go. See you later." I nod as I watch Maureen disappear from my view. I sighed and open muly locker to see something white in the middle of my things. I froze. White? What is the meaning of this? "Kathleen Armittage got a White Rose!" Someone I did not know shout for everyone to hear. As if he's announcing what Rose I got. I just stood in front of my locker, unable to move. I don't even know what it means to receive a White Rose. Not the usual Red and Black. I can almost hear everyone murmuring asking the same thing as me. What does White Rose mean? A familiar hand grabbed my arm. It's Theo. He shoved me carefully to the side of my locker, took the rose from the inside, threw it on the floor and stepped on it. Crushing it. He looks at me, with a worried look. "It's okay. I got you." I know you do, I wanted to tell him. But having Bishop King lurking anywhere Sewickley Heights, I admit I don't feel safe anymore. Theo holds my hand as I feel stares to me. "Let's go." Theo asked. "Where?" Theo looks at my hand, kissed my head and hugs me. "You don't have to be afraid of him." I am literally shaking, when I looked at the end hall, I can see him standing there looking straight at me, tilting his head as if examining me. What the f**k is his problem? I looked at Theo, "What's the White means?" Theo looked everyone but me, he swallowed hard before answering and right there I know he was going to splurt lies. "I-- I don't know." I rolled my eyes at him and walk towards the man who shouts the Color of the rose that I got. "You!" I pointed at him that made him backed up to the wall. Scared looking s**t. "--What's the f*****g white rose meant?" Theo holds my arm, "Babe, let's just go." I grabbed the man by the collar. Fear, dread and anger ruled me during those times. I hate this feeling, the feeling that you are in danger and there is nothing you can do but wait for the danger to come. "Tell me!" The class bell rings, indicating that the class will start soon. "I-- I don't know!" The man started to run away along with all the other students. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. Theo holds my hand again, "Let's just get away from here." This time, I obliged. Theo and I decided not to go to class for the rest of the day. We just hang out behind his Pick up on the edge of the cliff in the sea of Claymont. We both lay and looked up at the blue skies. The air was cool but not chilly, the sun was up but it wasn't hot. We also just finished eating lunch. "I am scared." I admit to him. "Why?" Should I tell Theo the first night Bishop King was here? About what he did? "I don't know--" I decided against it, Theo has a lot in his hands right now. He's stressed enough already about his football position and I don't want to add up in his problems. "--about the Rose." Theo holds my hand and kissed the back of it, he looks at me with tender eyes and assuring smile, "Do you think I'll let something bad happen to you?" Never. In our two years dating, Theo was the greatest boyfriend one could ever asked for. I smiled. "Off course you wouldn't." He smiled and kissed me, tenderly. "I got you. You don't have to be afraid." "Can't you talk to your Dad about Bishop King? He is the town mayor after all. And Bishop King has been troubling the town for just two weeks since he came back?" I asked desperately. Theo sighed, "I already did. But Dad said that when it comes to the Kings, he can't do anything about it." "That's bullshit!" I exasperated that made Theo halt. God, I forgot we are talking about his Father. "--Sorry, I just-- I just don't want--" "Babe, I understand." He took a deep breath, "--I guess I just have to do the best I can at the championship." It was so rare for the NFL to draft a non-captainballer. Theo already knows that, And I kept quiet about that remarks and having him to loose his hope. I nodded, "I an sure you will ace the game. Just like what you always did." I smiled. "I love you." He kissed my lips. I smiled, "I love you too." When we returned to school, Maureen was waiting standing in front of my car with a worried look on her face. "Kathleen. Where have you been?" She eyed me then Theo. "I will explain later, I just want to get away from here." I opened my car door to see that in the back was a tailor made ballet uniform that screams expensive along with a white box and was laced with baby pink bow. Maureen also sees what I am looking at, I grabbed the box and opened it. Inside it was another White rose and a very expensive Bella Amour ballet doll shoes. I gasped. "Who gave it you?" Maureen pressed. When I looked up, instantly I find his eyes at me. He is standing at the roof deck of the campus with his both hands in his pocket. "Can you wait for me a little bit?" I asked Maureen not breaking eye contact to Bishop. "Why?" "Just wait for me--" Carrying the shoe box, I hurried up to the roof. When I got to the roof, Bishop was already waiting, looking at the door where I would enter. But this time he has a cigarette on. I walked closer to him and threw the box with shoes and a White rose at him, which hit his chest. But nothing seems to have happened to him. He didn't seem to be hurt at all. "I don't have time to play with you!" I told him. "Who says I am playing with you, Darling?" He growls. "Stop it. How many times do I have to tell you that I didn't bully you before! And that was not my intention." I explained. "Then what is your intention?" He seems to be not interested in our conversation. He just kept on dragging hits on his cigarette. I just hope he dies smoking cigarettes so there is no more perversion in the quiet life we had before. I looked anywhere but him, "I am scared of you before--" "Aren't you now?" I looked at him, his eyes were piercing. "Much more." I admits. He smirks between the cigarette in his lips. He can easily kill me here. Pushed me on the cliff and told everyone that I jumped. "You think I will hurt you?" He walks closer to me, and every step he take closer to me, I step back away from him. "--one more move, I will hunt you down." I stilled. Froze. Hunt me down like a prey whose hungry for his meal. He holds the middle of my neck and shoulder, keeping me still. "I shouldn't be the one you think is going to hurt you." I scoffed, tears were clouding my eyes. "Then who?" "Theodore Stanley--" He walks away to blow a cigarette away from me, which I thought is thoughtful of him to do so. "Theo? My boyfriend?" He looks at me, "You trust him?" "With my whole life, yes." I confirmed. He chuckled dryly, "Then I guess you will die early if you entrust your life to Theodore Stanley." "What the f**k are you talking about?" I snap. "How much do you know him?" He pressed. He seems to be so interested in me and Theo. "My whole life." He smirks and look at me, "I wanted to see you in pain. I wanted to see you closely how disappointed and in agony you are, Darling." "What?" He fished a phone out of his pocket and he seems to be finding something. When he did, he threw the cellphone at me and luckily I caught it. "Look." He ordered and I obliged. My stomach turns and my limbs felt jelly. My ears were ringing so loudly. On the screen is Theo, my Theo sitting on a couch in the dark with a huge grin on his face while a woman, no, not just a woman, Lorainne Ventura is straddling him kissing his neck and he seems to be enjoying it. "What is this?" "You tell me what that is?" I can hear the victory in his voice. I looked up at him, my eyes begun to water as he is watching me closely, intently. As if he is enjoying seeing me crying. "There, there." He walks closer to me and run his thumb on my tears. And he freaking taste my tears. "What the f**k?" I snap. "Leave him." He says. "What would I do that?" He slap me so hard, "Look into the picture in front of you. He cheated on you." I looked at him, he's mad. "I can just pretend something like this--" I deleted the photo in his gallery, "--doesn't happened." "Leave him. Or I will f*****g make you leave him." He walks closer put his hand on my neck and backed me up on the wall. "I won't." I know I am pressing buttons here. But he says that he wanted to see the pain and agony of me. And I wouldn't let him have that. I guess, he is not the only one who knows how to act. He was about to freaking kiss me and I closed my eyes. I am shaking. He stopped. When I opened my eyes, he was so close to me but he did not kiss me. "What does White Rose means?" "You will figure it out on your own." He lets go of my neck and was about to leave. "Is that why you're forcing me to leave Theo because he's probably f*****g Lorainne Ventura?" I pressed. He looks at me confused, "What about Lorainne?" "I heard you're into her?" I pressed. Maybe this is what this all about. Did Theo cheating on me with Lorainne that is why Bishop King is into breaking him down? If yes, how long does Theo cheating on me? "Lorainne is my stepsister." He shrugs. "Doesn't stop you from f*****g her, right?" He smirks and shook his head, "Don't care about her. Expect more roses from me until you figure out what that means."
