Chapter 1: Greetings
**Rosemary**
Once apon a time, when I was but just a young girl. I too believed in the magical world of fairy tales. You know, grow up, fall in love with someone kind and caring, sweet and gentle. All the admirable qualities of a prince.
But, then reality sets in. You wake up, a little too late I might add, and realize that life is nothing like that. You don't necessarily get your happy endings, your love tale or your handsome prince on a white horse. Life is cruel, people are cruel. And don't you forget it.
I am Rosemary Valentino, but you can just call me Rose. I am 24 years old and I have a 7 year old daughter that I love more than anything in the world. Yes, you guessed it, I got her when I was 17 years old. All alone in the world, not even close to ready to fend for myself and my baby girl. But folks, that's just the way it is. Her name is Isabella, but Bella is just fine.
"MAMA!!!!!"
"YES BABYYY?"
"Mama, come help me tie my shoessss!" This girl and her manners. "What's the magic word?" "PLEASEEEEEE!" Yeah, that's exactly what I thought. I made my way up the stairs to Bella's bedroom, to find the whole entire room in a big mess. Shoes laying everywhere, shirts, pants, dolls, everywhere. It's an entire obstacle course in here "Bella, baby. What has Mama said about keeping your room clean?" She looks up at me with those big blue eyes, the lip starts to quiver and I swear I see a lone tear threaten to slip out."That if you found it dirty again you will take Mrs. Poppy away and that I won't get any sweets or watch TV for a month" She says with a big sigh at the end. "Let me tie your shoe, then I will give you 10 minutes, 10 minutes only Isabella, to clean your room. And no stuffing everything in your closet. Got it?" She nods her head fervently in understanding. I make quick work in tying her shoes, give her a kiss on her forehead and leave to go back downstairs. We live in quite a big house, after my parents threw me out, I got a job at a cafe close to here and finished my studies in business school. After I had Bella, I had too work a lot harder to get by. 3 years later I found out I had a real rich uncle, he was the one that has been sending me money every month secretly. After I found out, I got in contact with him. I obviously demanded to know what he wants with me, why is he sending me money. All the questions an over protective mother should be asking. Apparently he was sending me money to help me get by, he said I don't deserve the hand I was dealt and he didn't agree on how my parents handled it. So he made it his life mission to help me in some way.
Long story short, I started learning from him how to run a hotel, and when he sadly passed away a few months ago, Iost my business partner and uncle. Now I need to find a new partner and really fast.
"COME ON BELLA, WE'RE GONNA BE LATE. I STILL WANT TO STOP AT THE COFFE SHOP" I scream up at my tardy ass daughter. "COMINGGGGGGGG" you know, for a 7 year old she has a lot of sass in her.
After a 15 minute drive to our favorite coffee shop, I took Bella inside to order our drinks and mini breakfast before I drop her at preschool. I always take the Americano espresso with a muffin, and Bella take the chocolate milk with pancakes.
I have a meeting with someone at 9 am, maybe a potential business partner. I have had a few people in and out of my office the last month and no one has given me the partner vibes. They were all dull, had no fresh ideas, nothing good and promising to bring to the table. But, this one guy, Zack Richards. His resume looked very promising. Let's just hope it's the same when we meet.
Half an hour goes by, before we finish and leave, this guy walks in. Dark grey suit, black hair, short on the sides and wavey at the top, icy blue eyes, full plump lips, and looks like his muscles might bulge out of his suit any minute now. Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous. Okay, I might not have some of the alone time as much as I would like recently. Working too much can cause such horrific problems. Bella and I are on our way out when sexy mystery guy bumps into me "Hey! watch where the hell you're going lady!" He yells into my face. How dare he! Before I could say anything to him, my sweet, dear Bella. Opens her big mouth "Hey Mister! Watch how you're talkin to my mama! And cursing is bad for you, it'll make your teeth fall out!" My face turns bright red at her little outburt. Bella pulls me away while I'm still in complete shock.
I drop Bella off at preschool and head for work, luckily work isn't far. Just a 20 minute drive. Once I enter my office, I see a man sitting in the chair across from my desk. I walk around the desk to my chair, putting my handbag down at the foot of my table, taking a seat. "Good morning Sir" Once I look up, I lock eyes with those beautiful icy blue eyes.
"Good Morning Mrs. Valentino" He says giving me a cheeky smile.
