Let’s Talk

{Angelo’s POV} Marco and I stood over the bloodied man in the alley outside of the Petrov territory. “Tell me where I can find Ivan!” I yelled, kicking him hard in the stomach. Ivan was one of the higher ups in the Petrov company, but he was also the youngest son of Andreas Petrov. Ivan had always been a problem for his family, getting into all sorts of trouble from a young age. If anyone would turn on them, if anyone could get us in, it would be him. The man got onto his hands and knees, and coughed up some blood before nodding his head. “Okay, I’ll tell you!” He cried out. “He has a warehouse, about a mile from here, I’ll take you there. It’s his safe house, he’s almost always there. He said he was going away on business about a week ago, but he should be back by now!” He stood up, looking at me, his body shaking. I nodded and pointed to our car, Marco walked ahead of him, and I stayed behind him as we walked him over, and opened the door. Cater, and Damon sat in the front, waiting for us. Marco scooted across to the other side of the backseat, the man got in beside him, and I sat blocking off the other door, closing it behind me. “You show us where, and you better be right!” I sneered. He nodded, and began explaining how to get there, it wasn’t long before we pulled across the street from an abandoned looking building. The only thing that gave away that it had people inside, was the dim light that poured out from one window on the far left side. “This is where he normally is!” He said, pointing to the door in front. I grabbed his shoulder roughly. “You’re going to take us inside, and you’re also going to tell your boss we’re here to talk business, nothing more, nothing less!” I squeezed his shoulder, digging in my fingertips. He whimpered and nodded furiously. “Okay, okay!” We got out and walked slowly over to the door, Damon and Carter walking behind us, keeping their hands on their gu** just in case things go sideways. Marco was on one side of this guy, while I was on the other, and as we reached the door he knocked, a slow and quiet knock. Soon a man came to the door, his eyes were brown, and devoid of emotion. “What do you want?” He asked, his voice monotone. “We wanna talk business with your boss!” I smirked, pushing the man forward. He looked up to the other man, his body shaking still. “They just want to talk to Ivan, they want to talk business, nothing more, nothing less!” He blurted out. The man crossed his arms over his chest, and shot the guy we brought here a warning glare. “The boss isn’t in, and even if he were, he isn’t going to see you! Tebe ne sledovalo privodit' ikh syuda!” He said, to the man in front of him. “Why shouldn’t he have brought us here?” I shot up at him. “What, didn’t think I knew Russian?” A smirk crossed my face, as panic flooded his. “I just meant that you guys shouldn’t be here, now go!” He snapped, shaking away any emotion he had. I pushed past him walking into the room behind him. “I think I want to wait here for Ivan, I have him an offer that I don’t think he’ll want to refuse!” I walked to a table, and pulled out a chair sitting down. There were about 10 men in this room, four of them sitting at another table, one at the front door, the one I just walked past. Then there were two men guarding a door in the back corner of the room. The other three were drinking and playing darts, barely paying attention to us. “Come on in boys, we’ll wait here for Ivan!” I said pointing down at the table, every single man in the room turned towards me. Their hands going to their waist bands. Marco, Carter, and Damon strolled into the room and sat down with me at the table. “Are you sure this is a good idea?” Marco said softly, leaning over to me. I smirked and whispered back. “We all have bullet proof vests on, and now we’re in a corner, with a table that we can flip if things go wrong. Don’t worry so much, we’ll be fine!” I looked around the room, and noticed that one of the men that was standing guard at the door stepped into the doorway, and descended down a staircase. A few minutes later he came back, and with him was Ivan. I knew he was here, there was no way that he’d be gone for a week. I rolled my eyes, before standing up and pointing in his direction. “There he is, Ivan Petrov. We have a proposition for you!” I smirked, trying to hold in the disdain that I have for him. His hands were covered in blood, his sleeves rolled up, and his hair slightly disheveled. “LaRoux.. what are you doing here? You must have some massive ones to come in here like this without thinking about any.. repercussions.” He snapped, pointing his finger to us. All of the men pulled out gu** and aimed them at us. I shook my head, looking down, “Well, I had hoped that you would see things clearly, but I guess I was wrong to assume that you were the smart one.” I said, looking back to my group, they stood, grabbing their gu** and aiming them around the room. The first shot rang out, and the bodyguard at the door dropped to the floor. I grabbed the table and threw it over, and ducking down behind it, Carter, Damon, and Marco dropped with me. We quickly and easily picked off Ivan’s men, and once the smoke cleared I could see him flinging open the door behind him and running back down the stairs. I looked around, and took off following him, motioning for the group to follow me.
