{Angelo’s POV}
As we stepped down into the staircase, it was pitch black. We quietly followed down the stairs towards a dim light at the bottom. We stepped down onto the floor, and my blood ran cold. As my eyes adjusted to the light, I could see her.. our Margo! She was hanging by her wrists from the ceiling, her hair was cut short, up above her ears, and her body was lanky and bloodied. Bruises and cuts covered all of her exposed skin. Her shirt was torn down the front, and I could see her ribs poking out because she had lost so much weight. She looked so small, and so puny hanging there. Her wrists were bloody, and her hands purple. “M-Margo..” I whispered, as my brother and friends walked in behind me.
“What are you talking about, Margo is..” Carter started, but once his eyes adjusted, he gasped in shock. “Margo!” He cried, running to her side. I ran after him and pulled out a knife cutting the ropes over her head and dropping her down into his arms. “Margo, come on, wake up!” He said, shaking her softly.
Damon and Marco kept guard at the door, looking around for Ivan. “Is it really her?” Marco asked, peeking over.
“Yes! It’s her, come on, we need to get her out of here now!” I yelled, pushing Carter to his feet and back towards the staircase. Once we made it up the stairs I grabbed a chair and used it to lodge the door closed behind us. I grabbed the gas can from our trunk and poured it around the main room in this warehouse, and walked out to the door behind the group who were now loading Margo into the car. I pulled out my lighter, and dropped it onto the ground walking to the car and watching as the building went up in flames. I got into the car and pulled Margo into my lap, cradling her in my arms. “Get us to the hospital, now!” I yelled, pulling out my phone and calling Mikey. “You need to get everyone together and get to the hospital now! I’ll explain when you get there, but get there now!” I shouted, before hanging up.
We drove as quickly as we could, making it to the hospital in under eight minutes. As we pulled in, I dove from the car with Margo cradled in my arms. “Help!” I screamed, as nurses pushed out a gurney to lay her on. I laid her down gently, and went back with her, I wasn’t going to leave her again.. I haven’t been able to eat or sleep since the day we lost her.. Now that we found her, I’m never leaving her alone again. As we went back into a private room, they begun hooking her up to IV’s and monitors. Their mouths kept moving, and I swear I tried to pay attention, but it was as if no words were coming out. The room was just Margo and I, and all I wanted to do was help, to make sure that she was okay.
“Sir, you can’t be in here!” A voice finally chimed in, only then did I realize that the only things I could hear was a high pitched ringing, and the deafening sound my own heart beating.
“No! I’m not leaving her again! Do what you have to do to help her, but I won’t leave her alone! This hospital is the one that somehow misplaced my sister the last time she was here, and I will be dam*** if I allow any of you fuc**** to lose her again!” I yelled, towering over everyone in this room, I knew my presence was distracting, possibly even daunting, but I owed it to my sister.. I owed it to her to stay, and make sure that this time, she really is safe. I owe it to her, to make sure she makes it back home with our family. It was a mess so sounds, and bandages. The whole thing took a couple of hours to get her stitched, bandaged, and hooked up. She had yet to wake up, and even the doctor and nurses seemed worried about that. After they got us into a private room, I got a call from Mikey. He said that they were all here, and very confused.
“Getting dad out of his bed was a miracle, and now that we’re here, no one is saying anything. Marco said that we would have to wait, just to be sure about something before he’d say anything. He also said that someone was hurt..” Mikey said over the phone.
“Come to room 408.. you’ll understand when you get here. Just bring all of our brothers, and dad. You all need to be here.” I said, hanging up the phone and scooting my chair closer to her bed. I took her hand gently in mine, she was so much smaller than the last time I saw her. My guess is that they haven’t been feeding her, at least, not a lot. Her skin was pale, and sickly looking. Her eyes were bruised and sunk in, and you could see every vein under her skin. I reached up with my other hand, brushing away some of the stray hairs that had fallen in her face. They had cut her hair, it was short, in a pixie cut. It’s no wonder that Marco didn’t recognize her at first, but her face is the only thing that I have been able to see since the day that we lost her. “Wake up Margo.. we’ve been waiting for you.. we all miss you, and love you. Come back to us bambina.. we need you.” I whispered softly. “Your Angel needs you..” I stood slowly, as I heard footsteps approaching the room and gently kissed her forehead.
