Alive?

{Angelo’s POV} “Come to room 408.. you’ll understand when you get here. Just bring all of our brothers, and dad. You all need to be here.” I said, hanging up the phone and scooting my chair closer to her bed. I took her hand gently in mine, she was so much smaller than the last time I saw her. My guess is that they haven’t been feeding her, at least, not a lot. Her skin was pale, and sickly looking, almost an off shade of green. Her eyes were bruised and sunk in, you could see every vein under her skin. I reached up with my other hand, gently brushing away some of the stray hairs that had fallen in her face, and tucking them behind her jagged ear. They had cut her hair, it was short, in a pixie cut. It’s no wonder that Marco didn’t recognize her at first, but her face is the only thing that I have been able to see ever since the day that we lost her. “Wake up Margo..” I whispered kissing her hands, “ We’ve been waiting for you.. we all miss you, and love you. Come back to us bambina.. we need you.” I whimpered. “Your Angel needs you..” I stood slowly, as I heard footsteps approaching the room and gently kissed her forehead. Mikey burst in the room first, followed by Marco, then Max, Silas, and last but not least, our father. “What’s going on?” Mikey asked, his body freezing at the foot of the bed as he stared down at Margo. I could see the pain in his eyes, as he dropped to his knees and let out a bitter sob. “Margo..” he whimpered. “You’re alive!” He cried, standing quickly, and running to the other side of the bed and pulling her into his arms. “Margo.. is.. alive?” I could hear my father’s voice breaking. He was just as happy, but also as fearful as I was. If they kidnapped her like this again, who knows what all they’ve done to her this time. After all the things she suffered through, to be taken and tormented again.. to torment our family this way. They wanted to weaken us, and probably use her as either bait, or leverage if things didn’t go their way. I walked to my father and pulled him into a hug. I then tried to remember the last time that I hugged him.. when was the last time that I comforted him, or he comforted me this way? I choked back a sob, before finally letting out the tears, and the pain that I’d be holding on to. “She’s alive dad.. she’s alive, and we have her..” I whimpered through bitter tears. I felt his arms wrap around me, as his voice cracked. I felt the sleeve of my shirt becoming wet, as he sobbed against me. “Our Margo.. my Bambina! My sweet Bambina!” He cried, we hugged one another for a moment before he pulled back and walked to her bedside. I watched as he gently brushed her hair, and leaned over her kissing the top of her head. He sat down on the bed beside her, holding onto her tightly. “Margo.. please honey.. open those eyes, and come back to us..” he whimpered. My brothers gathered around the bed, Silas standing behind Marco who was now sitting in a chair beside Margo. I went out, and grabbed some more chairs, bringing them in and setting all of them around the bed. We all took a seat, besides dad who stayed in the bed with her, and snuggled her under his arm. Dad was the first to fall asleep, then Mikey, Marco, Silas, and Max. I couldn’t fall asleep, I was too afraid to take my eyes off of her.. too afraid that falling asleep would mean that I’d wake up and all of this would just be a dream. The first good one that I’d had since her funeral. Burying your sibling.. it does something to you.. and for us, it broke us apart. Dad barely left his office.. or his bed. Meanwhile all of us brothers threw ourselves into work, school, or tracking down the Petrov’s. We could tell that we were onto something.. but we never expected this.. for our baby sister to still be alive. Everything is wrong now.. but maybe, just maybe with her back, we’ll all be able to get some rest, and hopefully some of our happiness back. I smiled, looking at my family all peacefully sleeping around her. My mind was racing, even though this seems to be a happy ending, we don’t normally get to keep those for long. When is the next bad thing coming for us.. when is the show going to drop.. once again crushing us under it? I didn’t want to think about it.. not now, not when my bambina was surrounded by her loved ones.. finally safe and sound back with her family, there she belongs. I sighed, leaning my head back, and though I didn’t want to, I did finally doze off. {Unknown POV} “Sir.. sir!” Quinton ran into the room, he was sweaty, and covered in ash and soot. He was breathing heavily, and paused to rest as he tried to catch his breath. “Sir.. reports on the fire at one of the warehouses.. apparently Ivan had kidnapped the LaRoux girl and was holding her there. We found out through some survivors of the fire, that Angelo LaRoux, along with his brother Marco, and their friends Damon Romano, and Carter Price raided the place and found her. She has been reclaimed by their family, and they have left our territory.” He said, bowing to me slightly as he finished his report. I sighed, pinching the bridge of my nose. “Bring me Ivan..” I snapped, he turned running from the room. A few moments later, he stepped back in, with Ivan following him. “Ivan..” “Sir.. did you hear? I only took her for you! I was going to bring her here as soon as I finished breaking her!” He smiled, his stupid smile, making my stomach lurch. He’d always been an i***t, but this.. this was ridiculous. I smiled, walking to his side, and leading him to the balcony of my condo. We were on the top floor, floor 20, as we stepped out the door, cars and sirens could be heard echoing from below. I lead him to the edge of the balcony and patted his back. “You did good Ivan..” I smirked, pulling out a couple of cigars and lighting them up. I handed him one, and put the other in my mouth. We both took a long drag, and as I blew out a plume of smoke I laid my hand on his shoulder. “But you let her brothers save her..” I pushed him hard, sending him tumbling over the railing. I turned to look at Quinton, a small smirk spreading across my face. “Find me someone who won’t disappoint me Quinton!” I ordered, he fled from the room as I heard screams from the ground below my balcony. Thats one less person to screw up my plans.
