Viktor Nikolai

{Viktor’s POV} I had been nervous all evening, just waiting for the actual party to begin. My brother and sister had been talking about how nice Margo could be, but also how much hatred she held towards the Petrov’s. I didn’t blame her, they were horrible people, and it pained me that they were able to hold someone prisoner for so long. Margo and I had been texting for a while, but tonight was our first official meeting. Hearing Mr.LaRoux’s speech was beautiful, but not as beautiful as the woman who walked forward and took his hand. Her hair was long, and dark brown, pulled back onto a loose braid. Her eyes were dark, but seemed to shine in the twinkly lights in the ballroom. Her dress was incredible, and hugged her curves perfectly. I could see the outline of tattoos along her stomach as she walked carefully down the stairs with her father. She smiled to everyone in the room, then hugged all of her brothers. I saw Angelo take her arm, and watching them dance together.. it was amazing. Her body swayed beautifully, as he twirled her around. She had tattoos that went across her back as well, and up her neck. She was short, very short, I stand at 6’11, just one inch off of 7’0. She walked back across the room with Angelo, and he pulled out a flask handing it to her. She smiled and took a drink, even did a little dance afterwards. I couldn’t help the chuckle that erupted from my chest. “I didn’t know her dress would be so beautiful!” Dimitri said from behind me. “They really worked on that around the clock, and her tattoos look awesome!” He smiled, walking up beside me. My sister walked up on the other side of me, and smiled. “Yeah, she does look beautiful!” I sighed, turning to both of them. “I know what the two of you are doing!” I said, shooting both of them a warning glare. Dimitri put his hands up in defeat. “Okay, but you’re the one who couldn’t stop talking about her for years. You spent so much time trying to find her, and now, here she is!” He said, a devilish look on his face. “I don’t think you could handle her anyways, she has a dark side!” A dark side? Her? Sure, and I’m a fairy princess.. she’s too perfect and sweet for that. Though, the thought of her being dark, and mysterious.. it had me intrigued. I couldn’t take my eyes off of her, the way her curves were on display. Her alluring eyes, and those pouty red lips.. I shook away the thoughts that seemed to be invading my mind. Her body pressed to mine, her lips hanging open as I kiss down her neck. I once again shook away the thoughts and pulled out my own flask, taking a swig of vodka. “Da**! If you stare any harder she’ll catch on fire!” Daniella said, laughing beside me. “Come on, we’ll finally introduce you, you can meet in person now!” Dimitri said grabbing my arm. I shrugged him off, and shook my head. “I’m sure we’ll talk to her at some point tonight, so I won’t worry with interrupting her family.” I said, happy with myself at my quick thinking. “Some point may come sooner than you think, she’s on her way over here now!” Daniella said. I turned just in time to see her running into my brother’s arms. They hugged and laughed as he sat her back down. “You look amazing!” Dimitri said, fixing her hair. She smiled and gave a full twirl, I could see her tattoos much better now. She had a deer skull on her stomach, with flowers and vines all around it. On her back was a snake, surrounded by flowers, vines, bees, and honeycombs. The snakes head, and some flowers went up the back of her neck. “Thank you! I was worried that the dress would be too much..” she said, looking down nervously. “I wasn’t sure how I felt about being on display like this, but my family cheered me on the whole month!” She giggled. Daniella ran to her and gave her a hug. “You have to give me the name of your designer, I need them to make me some dresses like this one!” She shrieked. “Of course, I’ll send you her number after the party!” Her eyes lit up, and her smile was infectious. I turned back towards the crowd of people, giving them their privacy. “This is our older brother, the one you’ve been texting!” Dimitri said, and I felt a small hand reach up to touch my back. “Excuse me..” she said, her voice soft, and melodic. “Are you planning on hiding away all night Viktor?” She giggled up at me. “I expected that the person who devoted so much time to finding me, would actually want to talk to me face to face.” I turned to face her, looking down at her small frame basically swallowed by mine. I knelt down on one knee in front of her. “Yeah..” I said, not really sure what else to say. She smiled up at me, her cheeks a little pink as she tilted her head to the side slightly. “Thank you for being so kind to me, and for looking for me when so many others had given up!” She said. My heart pounded heavily in my chest, and I knew that I looked like a child with a crush staring down at this beautiful woman. “I’m sorry that I didn’t find you..” I said softly, slightly ashamed at my failures. “You shouldn’t thank me.” She grabbed my arm, her small hands tenderly laid against it. “You tried.” She said. “I’m just happy to know that you were trying, and that so many people came together. Plus, you never gave up looking.” Her eyes shone with unshed tears. “It means a lot to me, that someone that I didn’t even know was looking for me! That someone didn’t give up hope!” “I..I’m not sure what to say..” I said, honestly questioning what I should say. “You don’t have to say anything!” She smiled. “But I’d be happy if you’d dance with me Viktor!” I looked down at her, still surprised by her kindness, and her strength. “I’d be honored..” I answered, as she took my hand, and pulled me out to the dance floor.
