Was this really the "Ice Goddess" of the university? She looked a little... mischievous.
Though she seemed bold, Su Yue was still a girl—surely her boldness was only surface-level. As a grown man, Li Chen had no reason to worry about being “devoured” by her.
Coincidentally, Li Chen also wanted to properly introduce Su Yue to his parents, so he agreed. The two got into the car and drove off.
Not long after, they arrived at the front gate of the villa complex—Jade Bloom Residence. The villas in this area weren’t cheap. This community ranked among the best in Tianhai City, with a serene and elegant environment.
Upon entering Li Chen’s home, Su Yue acted like she had just walked into an amusement park. She looked around with sparkling curiosity.
“Where’s your room?” Su Yue asked.
“Upstairs,” he replied.
Su Yue climbed the stairs and stepped into Li Chen’s bedroom. It was her first time in a guy’s room. She inspected every corner like she was visiting a girlfriend’s place.
She examined his things carefully. To her surprise, the room was spotless—not even a stray sock on the floor. It even smelled clean and fresh. The grey curtains gleamed under the light, completely free of dust.
“Why is your room so clean? Aren’t guys’ rooms usually messy? Shouldn’t there be body pillows with anime waifus? And shelves full of half-naked figures?” Su Yue complained, unsatisfied.
Li Chen: “……”
Of course his room was clean. What kind of stereotype was that? Su Yue must have had a weird impression of guys’ bedrooms.
Li Chen liked cleanliness. He had a habit of keeping his space neat. To him, a bedroom should be a place of rest—and a clean, tidy environment helped him relax. Imagine trying to rest in a chaotic pigsty. As for waifu pillows or risqué figurines... those were for hardcore otakus. And Li Chen wasn’t one of them.
Then, Su Yue walked over to the trash bin in the corner of the room—and started rummaging through it.
“What are you doing?” Li Chen asked, startled.
“I’m checking if there are used tissues. Ugh… why aren’t there any?” Su Yue pouted.
Li Chen: “……”
Eventually, maybe realizing how unladylike that looked, Su Yue stopped and quietly returned the bin to its place.
Then she sat at Li Chen’s desk, turned on his computer, and moved the mouse around.
Li Chen assumed she’d browse social media or open a game, but instead, she opened File Explorer and started checking through folders.
“Why don’t you have any ‘learning materials’ on here?” she grumbled again.
Li Chen’s lips twitched.
Was this Su Yue’s true nature? She was a bit wild—very different from how their classmates described her. Not introverted at all, and surprisingly outgoing.
Was she really the cold, distant goddess everyone talked about? Why is she so… wild?
At first, Su Yue had planned to show off her domestic side and help tidy up the room—but that plan died quickly. The room was already perfect. Still, that was a good thing.

In the Living Room
Li Chen’s parents had returned. He introduced Su Yue to them properly.
“This is Su Yue, my classmate,” said Li Chen.
“Uncle, Auntie, I’m Su Yue. I’m sorry for acting impulsively at the engagement ceremony, but I truly love Li Chen.” Su Yue introduced herself politely.
“Oh dear, but our company is bankrupt. If you don’t want to stay with Li Chen, that’s understandable,” Li Jianhong replied.
“No, no—Li Chen is a great man. Why wouldn’t I love him?” Su Yue countered sincerely.
“Haha! You’re so beautiful and such a sweet talker!” Li Jianhong and his wife, Zhou Lifen, laughed and smiled warmly.
Earlier, they had been caught off guard when Tang Yuxin abruptly called off the engagement. It felt like being slapped in front of all their friends and family—a deep humiliation.
Tang Yuxin had grown up before their eyes. She was the daughter-in-law they had always envisioned for Li Chen. They had planned everything with her parents. They eagerly anticipated the day she would become part of the family. But once she learned of the bankruptcy, Tang Yuxin heartlessly dumped Li Chen.
Li Jianhong felt deeply guilty, blaming himself for his son’s suffering. But thankfully, his son had turned out to be a good man.

And now, a better daughter-in-law had appeared—far better than Tang Yuxin.
Li Jianhong and Zhou Lifen exchanged a glance and smiled. It was clear from Su Yue’s gaze—she deeply loved their son. You could see it in her eyes.
A woman like her, who didn’t look down on poverty and wasn’t materialistic, was rare these days. Li Jianhong used to think Tang Yuxin was a good match, but now? No comparison. Su Yue was a hundred times better.
To make a woman like Su Yue fall in love—truly, his son must be exceptional. That also meant their parenting and genes were something to be proud of.
“I won’t be of much help going forward,” said Li Jianhong. “I might even be a burden... sigh.”
“Dad, that’s okay. We’re still young. This is a chance for us to work hard. I believe in Li Chen—he’s smart and diligent. I believe he’ll turn things around,” Su Yue replied confidently.
“Good! Very good!” Li Jianhong nodded, delighted.
Her calling him Dad had instantly closed the gap between them.
Li Chen watched Su Yue charm his parents so easily. Remembering how she had just been digging through his trash a while ago… he wondered if she had a split personality.
“It’s getting late,” Li Jianhong said. “You two should stay here tonight.”
“Okay!” Li Chen and Su Yue answered in unison.
After that, his parents retired to their room, leaving the two of them alone in the living room. They looked at each other, then quickly looked away—awkward silence followed.
Even though they were now engaged, they had barely spoken before today. They were in the same year at university but in different classes. Li Chen had seen her often because he used to drop off and pick up Tang Yuxin every day, but they never really talked.
When they passed each other, it was always just a nod of greeting. Besides, Su Yue was always cold and distant at school—rarely the one to initiate conversation.
“Would you like to shower first? I’ll get you some pajamas,” Li Chen finally said, breaking the silence.
“Sure.” Su Yue nodded.
Li Chen brought out two clean sets of pajamas from his closet and handed one to her.
“Are these yours?” Su Yue asked, curious.
“Yes. Don’t worry, they’re clean—I barely wore them. If you’d prefer, I can buy you new ones,” he said, concerned she might be uncomfortable.
“No need! I like this one better!” she replied quickly.
Su Yue grabbed the pajamas from his hand and headed to the bathroom. As she walked away, Li Chen caught a glimpse of her elegant figure. He snapped out of it, grabbed his own set, and went to a separate bathroom to shower.

Li Chen finished quickly and went to the living room to watch TV. About ten minutes later, Su Yue came out.
The pajama shirt was too big on her—it hung low on her shoulders, revealing her collarbone and giving her an alluring glow.
Her skin looked fresh and dewy after the shower. White, soft, and smooth.
Her long black hair looked like it had been painted with ink—slightly damp, shiny, and flowing down her back like a waterfall.
She wasn’t wearing any makeup, yet still looked stunning. She rarely wore much makeup anyway. Her long white legs looked like they were made of porcelain. They’d look perfect in sheer black stockings.
“Let’s go to bed,” Su Yue said casually.
Li Chen was stunned. She was so direct!
While watching TV, he had been wondering where Su Yue should sleep tonight. Logically, they were engaged, so sharing a bed wasn’t that big a deal. Still, he hesitated—would she think he was a pervert if he suggested it?
But now, Su Yue had made the move herself.
Her boldness… was dangerous.
