The Trial of Aunt Lucy
Can you find the truth in it all?
It takes precision to float through a crowd of singing swallows.
So, take a seat, open your ears to the sweet sound of the intergalactic orchestra.
a band from the likes of which you’ve never seen.
The thumping of a beat in its simplest form.
Tick, Tick, Tick,
Tap and a buzz,
Buzz and a tap
We buzz all day.
*A buff bulldog with a bushy beard strutting down the street with a smoking pistol in his hand like he’s got somewhere to be*
Beyond the gates we live in the belly of the lightning bug.
Her honeycombs soften like a snowflake
Resting easy on her tongue, a sucker-face-gush-mush.
He’s a spud mouth sugar snake, who him, what’s his name?
Hello Mrs. We Lay Our Eggs in the Sun, have you mistaken me for another fellow?
No sir you’re the one, and the tree is where the Lilies lay their eggs
*SHRIEK* have we broken through the tower yet sir?
No cadet not yet.
“You there! Those are my ginger bugs, get along chap”
For your troubles shall we take the lot of you for tea and a round of golf,
Perhaps the mad man’s game of spades?
No sir, best wishes, just leave my critters be.
But they’re such elaborate contraptions, I mean look at all the geometry!
Intimate chores ever so gently hustle into one bustling bugger.
June Bee, Mary Maybelline
Penny Rose and the Sea of Queens,
Accompanied by Box head and Bubble Brains.
The chomping trapezoid films,
He’s the man behind the magic.
Thank you for the offer, but I do not wish to carry out my day within this mall on the rhinos back… there’s even a kiosk on the moon.
You damn vultures.
“we must get the fluffers back by twelve sharp, or boss man will never let us hear the end of it!”
The meddle of it all drips into a bucket,
Just throw it out on top of the dawns cigarette.
I think we may have pulled apart supernal entertainment.
Your regularly scheduled program from the stars.
Hello tiger cub,
Humanity is distasteful for the pure of minds.
Look away.
Shallow moaning,
I can hear the beast groaning
He sits on the island,
Gnawing.
BUZZ, BUZZ, ZZZ, ZZZ
TICK, TICK, TICK
His feral hooves wrap around the barbed tree.
VIOLENCE, WRAITH AND DISGUST.
THE SNARLING CUNT.
HE STARTS THE FIRE THAT STEMS FROM BENEATH,
His immense beauty darts from his eyes to the black sea.
Cackling around the cave echoes far and wide, stretching to every corner of the tainted sky.
He reflects the hate within me.
I dive head first into bedlam,
With no concern for the damage “id” cause.
“We are the Gutter Bugs”,
His one-inch stooges dance around me in trickled confusion.
They poke fun and play games amid the chainsaw screaming.
I’m feeling a bit insecure why must they jest in such a way, why do their eyes follow me?
They’ve seen a dream,
It’s never the end when we near the bed of the never before seen stinging, hissing serpentine.
I must leave this wretched town, I must swim under the lake of tar.
As above so below.
We are impeccable, yet hopelessly incomplete.
I’ve emerged from the black and stumbled upon the pond of discernible growth.
I can see the yellow glow,
Angelic and stubborn,
We are one in a million; the lightness of the vast majority.
It is easy to lose yourself due to the ponds alluring nature.
The songs of thunder ringing in my ears,
We found love inside the coal mine,
My hands stained with ash.
A candle burns its way into life,
Can you feel the whispers beneath the fog?
We must travel through the valley of lost wealth,
For it is free of the merchant’s grasp.
Let’s get lost in the studded forest of diamond leaves,
We will find community there, in the spotless ballad of undisturbed silence within the nest between soil and the apple seeds.
Humans are complex,
It could be so simple
But we live in a fantasy land taking trips to the deli for bread and milk.
Its right in front of us but we don’t know how to use it.
Snap, snap, snap
Tick, tick, tick
All is well.
I’ve dipped my toes in the surface end
And soaked my body in the farthest thread.
I saw the kingdom under the sea
And the pyramids between the trees,
But then the twister came
And everything I saw was quickly whisked away.
There is glory in pain,
Beauty in what’s underneath.
I’ve truly met all of myself,
The joy and the fear,
The rain and the clear.
Don’t forget to give love to those most important
And leave behind the ones who prey on your demise.
Stay kind and true, don’t allow the duty of life to distract you from work.
Become the first stretch from a rested sleep,
Capture the feeling of nostalgic pictures hung on a Christmas tree.
I am shedding, but I am free
My shrunken thoughts are afraid to leave.
I’ve lost my mind in the brightest of lights
The rugged rose came out of sight.
The bulb in the corner flickers on and off.
Purity of the embryo
Suffering of the cretin
I am both
And we are one.
An untreated masterpiece.
We are immaculate.
