It took an hour or so for things to settle down, before Eudora could steal back her baby and sneak off to the large bedroom she shared with Jericho. She settled into a chair with a satisfied sigh to nurse her newborn infant. Victoria had patiently put up with all the fawning relatives and strange arms, but now she was hungry and wanted the comfort of mama’s familiar face and soothing voice. They stared into each other’s eyes, lost in a magic that only of the two of them shared. They were unaware that the two of them together produced a palpable energy, but Jericho could feel it when he slipped into the room and quietly shut the door behind him. He felt like he could watch the two of them forever, the two loves of his life, his gifts from the Moon Goddess.
