The Last Hope

                     I remember it quite clearly, the day when everything went wrong. It was August 5 ,2056 ,Sunday Morning, right after Church. UniHealth the company who created Remedium, announced to the world their Product. It was supposed to be a Miracle Drug, a Medicine that would finally end suffering on this world. They told everyone that it was a cure for everything, all diseases, including cancer, and the best part is they were giving it away for free. The whole world rejoiced, everyone thought that our Suffering will truly be over It was delivered all around the world. Health Officials and World Leaders have all taken the Drug to rid themselves of misery,that's until a year later when disaster struck. It started out with one person until everyone who got it was infected as well. UniHealth, The WHO and other health organizations studied the Drug and found out that Remedium targeted the DNA, primarily parts of the DNA that was responsible for creating Hemogoblin. A vital and Necessary part of the blood. Without it everyone who has taken Remedium grew weak and would always have to be Administered blood. Since 80% of the world has taken the Drug it was a tough task to do, to find a pure blood, one that wasn't infected by Remedium. Even though Blood Banks had a lot it wasn't enough the Hunger for blood gre even more strong everyday and they couldn't keep up with it.                It wasn't long until some World Leaders decided to e*****e their non-infected Population to gain more supply, primarily for themselves. Other World leaders and UniHealth Themselves, condemned their actions and called it unnecessary. But it only took them months to change their Minds and do the same. Every country decided to e*****e their non-Infected Population and use them as Blood Farms for the Infected Population. A lot of the Non-infected people surrendered out of fear and became willing to be used. At first they treated us well, until they realize they don't have to. As time passes by they Detached themselves from Humanity. They treated us how they want, but primarily the treated us like Cattle.They view themselves as different and Superior to us and slowly shed their humanity until nothing was left, and thus,The Vampire kind was born.                           If it wasn't obvious enough everyone who surrendered, knew they made a great mistake. Specially those who surrendered with their families. They saw face to face how their families are being slaughtered, being drained of their every life right in front of them, with them who can't do anything about it. Since there were still a lot of Humans who didn't comply with their Government, the U.N. with several other Countries created a Special Task Force named H.D.U. or the Human Detection Unit. Even though it was backed by several countries their tasks was proven to be difficult. Humans in Hiding successfully fooled or Misguided the Unit several times. And it was known that they were being backed by a Country that was Unknown. It was also known that a lot of wealthy Humans in the world joined the movement and gave funding to those in Hiding and Bribed certain Officials to hide their Location. They were also successful in gaining weapons to equip their Militia and with these weapons they successfully infiltrated and broke out several Humans in Blood Farms all around the world, I was one of them. But they weren't always these successful, A few bribed Politicians broke their silence and ratted out human bases in their countries. Some attempts to Liberate people from Blood farms failed miserably and many more were added to their farms. But Despite these failures The Human Resistance or Militia was still posing a threat to the Vampire kind, a threat that they are more than willing to destroy. TO BE CONTINUED.......
