I THOUGHT it is going to be embarrassing to admit to Trei that I want to see him. I thought I will have to swallow my pride when I admit to myself that I always have an urge to get a glimpse of him even for just a few seconds when we are inside the campus. That every time I see him, I feel like I will fly.
But right now, as we stare at each other in this quiet and empty side of the hallway, my admission made me feel free and liberated. As if a heavy ache in my chest disappeared. I think Trei also feels the same as me because I no longer see the pain that was in his expression a few minutes ago.
“You can always see me whenever you want, Aya,” Trei says after a moment. “Just send me a message and I will meet you.”
“Really? Even though you are always busy in the student council?”
