Those words rings in my head even after Trei and I finally got away from the storage room. I know he didn’t mean anything about it. He just stated the fact that he can find me in this campus because I bet he knows this school like the back of his hand. My hunch was confirmed when after saying those words Trei continued to walk away. So I followed while holding on to my frustration and anger for miss Anderson and for Trei Daniels.
The campus is still and quiet when we get past the sports field. I am about to turn to the direction of my school building when Trei carefully grabs my arm. I look at him in surprise. “What?”
“It’s too late to go to the ongoing class. You will just get more attention that if you totally ditch it.
