Bella POV:
We went to the diner near our company building. All the way Juliet and Ash were busy teasing me as how I was looking at Lucas. After a while they started talking about their bosses, but I was too busy thinking the way he was staring at me and how at that moment wanted to kiss him. I blushed at that thought of kissing my boss. At that Ash saw me and Juliet and she again started teasing me like
Ash said "Oh look someone's face is getting as red as rose right Ms Rose she tease me with imitating in Lucas voice sharply."
Juliet said "Right Sir but I know the reason someone blushing
and that is You Mr. Harrington. She imitates my voice and softly the way I speak."
I had to laugh at both of them they continue their bickering and we reach the diner.
The diner was cozy and had good interior. The waitress in early twenties came and told us "Welcome to Roll's, I am Anna, what can get for you three."
We all greets her and introduced ourselves and we all then placed our order. I ordered Cheddar jalapeños chicken burger with guacamole and coke. Ash order grilled steak salad while Juliet ordered grilled Vietnamese chicken sandwiches. While our order came we talking about our favorite movies and all. As soon as our order came we all dig in as we were starving for months. The food was tasty and we also chat a little with Alice and got to know that this is owned by her mother but she is unwell so she handles work after her college. After having our food we left diner. While walking Ash said "hey Bella, I totally forgot to ask you how were your first day I mean you half day."
I looked at her and just sighed as I got reminded that how I had a first encounter with my boss and I told them everything. Well they both said the same thing which Ms Hills had told me earlier. I nodded my head thinking how I am going to survive this mood swinging boss.
I reach my floor and looked at the person standing in front of my desk. I then realized that the person standing was Mr. Harrington.
He back was to me so I took my time looking at his broad shoulder. I was sure he must 6feet 2 tall and his hands were thrust into his trouser pockets. He was looking breathtaking from back also no wonder he was voted as handsome man three times in row.
I walk toward my desk and stood in front of Mr. Harrington. He looked at me from to bottom and then again looks me but this time his eyes were blazing fire at me. If I was not taking the support of the desk I would have fallen down on floor.
Then he said "Ms Rose, I had asked you to take lunch break not a half day from work. Well past fifteen minutes I am standing here and your are not at your desk on the very first day of your job."
I don't know what to say to him so I just stood there looking down on floor.
He then shouted "Why the hell are you not responding are you deaf and dumb are what. Ms Rose answer right at this moment or I swear to god I will fire you right at this moment."
Hearing those brought tears in my eyes it's not even the first day and this person is making my life hell how would I survive in this company god help me please save me from this devil looking like Greek god.
I took a deep breath and look at him said him "Sorry sir, this will not happen again."
He was about to say something but his phone rang and he looked to his phone then at me and left greeting his mother. I thanks his mother sat at my chair. Water started flowing from my eyes as I was not used to being scolded by someone.
While in orphanage I used to behave and thus I never got any scolding this was the first time someone shouted at me. I know this sounded pathetic but yay that's true I was taken care of in orphanage. I sometimes doubt there is something story to this which I don't know. I was taken care of in orphanage and left alone for myself but there was no one who would love me. I just hope I would have someone special in future who will love me.
I sighed and started working the whole time Mr. Lucas didn't come out of his cabin. He also asks me to cancel his meeting. After time was up I ask Mr. Harrington permission of leaving and left for the day.
