CHAPTER 7

Lucas POV:
After having lunch with my brother I left for my work. As I enter my floor I move toward my cabin I saw my secretary chair empty. I check my watch it was past lunch hour and she hadn't come yet. Ms Hills was not well thus I told her to take a leave for the day and rest at her home.
After fifteen to twenty minutes Ms Rose came and stand in front of me. I looked at her and the way she look so simple and the confusion in her eyes remind of her ... and at moment I got angry as this girl makes me remind the things which I wanted to forget so I snapped at her.
But she didn't answer again I got very angry. I can't tolerate when people ignore me While I am speaking. I ask her to answer and she took deep breath and looked at me and said sorry. I can see water filling in eyes, at that moment I was about to speak but my phone rang. I took my phone out of my pocket and see Mom name popping and I took the call as I can't ignore it. I left for my office but not before seeing the tear that drop from her eyes.
At that moment I felt like s**t and wanted badly to wipe the tears from her eyes. But I control myself and left.
I greeted my mom as I entered my cabin "Hii mom, how are you?"
She said "Hey Lucas, I am fine and how are you? The way you left yesterday I was worried and you know we have a family rule that no one leaves angry from house right. I tried calling you but your phone was off. This kind of behavior is not at acceptable Mister."
I sighed and said "I am sorry mom you know I would not do anything which will make both of you worried. And yay I am fine and I just had lunch you had sent for us."
She said " oh good it just yesterday you didn't eat anything and left and so I thought why not send lunch for all of you."
I said "mom you know I don't like anyone's mingling in my life and dad has arranged my marriage to someone I don't know."
She said "about that son I know what are you feeling but just consider thought because I know your dad would never take a decision without thinking of its effect. He care and loves you that's the reason he has done that."
"I know mom and I also love both of you. Just give me sometime as right now I am feeling angry and frustrated. I will call you later mom bye and take care of yourself and dad." I said to her in calm voice.
Bye son you also take care and don't work too much. She said I cut the line of phone.
I lean on my chair and close my eyes I can still see her eyes filled with water. I shook my head and started working. I was not able to concentrate on my work and thus I called my secretary and cancelled all meeting for day. When I hear her soft voice I felt myself getting relaxed and I quickly cut the call. I don't know what that girl is doing to me I just can't concentrate on any damn things. It's only her fist day and she is ruling my thoughts. I turn my chair and looked at the skyscrapers and sun setting down. I continued looking at it and my mind wander thinking of Marriage, Ms Rose, Dad, Past.
Afterward there was a knock on my door and I ask to come in and the one who enter make my heart go beating fast she was exactly looking like as she was fiddling with her fingers. She was saying something but I was caught up looking at her and I don't know what she was saying. She was simply beautiful the ways the eyes looked at him and the ways her lips moves whiles she speaks I just wanted to kiss the hell out of her.
She called me little loudly snapping me out of my thoughts and I ask her again why is she here. She said
"Sir, I have all the work for the day and its five o clock can I leave."
I looked at clock and indeed it was five I tell her to leave for the day. She said thank you and almost dash out of my office. I spend three just thinking yet I have not decided what to do.
I also left the office but instead of going to my penthouses I went to place where I know I will find peace for some time.
