CHAPTER 8

Bella POV:
I was having my coffee in cafeteria when I got called from Mr. Harrington saying he wanted to meet me in 5 minutes. I quickly finished my coffee and rushed toward elevator as cafeteria was four down his office. And I didn't want to him to get angry on me for being late like yesterday. But today was not my luck I guess as elevator was on ground floor. So I decided to take stairs and ran fast as possible. By third floor my breathing was getting hitched but I continue my way and finally reached. I look at my watch for time and saw it was just 10 second remaining for 5 minutes to be over.
So I rushed in, without knocking on his door. As soon as I enter I was expecting an angry Mr. Harrington but he was so engrossed in paper in front of him that he didn't even notice my entrance. He was looking handsome even though he had frowned on his while his eyes narrowed at file which was in his hands. I was so hypnotized with his look that I didn't even realize that my legs got stuck in between the carpets and
Thud!!!(Oh god why this things happens with me only)
I landed on my knees but I managed to save my mobile phone which was in my hands. If it would have landed on floor like me god know what would have happened. This commotion had Mr. Harrington look up from his file. He was still able to see me from his sit. Seeing me on floor he immediately stood up and came near me. My cheeks turn red in embarrassment as I was on floor.
He looked down at me with hind of smile on his face which he was trying to control and asks "Are you alright Ms Rose?"
That moment I felt anger towards him, I mean instead of helping me he was standing there and was smiling at me. I try to get up but a sudden pain shot through my ankle and I sat again on floor. I wince loudly when he touches my ankle and started pressing it so I instantly hold his arm as it started paining. I held his arm tight when he told me to get up by holding him. But that was in vain so he snakes his arm around my waist and help up stand up but as soon as I stood up it started paining so I tighten my hold on him. My eyes were closed due to pain but they snapped open and I immediately shriek when he picked me up. Afraid that I will fall again immediately I rounded my arm around his neck and then ask " Mr. Harrington what are you doing?
He then said "Ms Rose you are in no condition of standing. So let me help you"
I nodded at him as he was right. Being in his arm was very good. I can feel his muscle which was looking like they can pop out any minutes within his suit. Also his smell delicious a hint of soap with a masculine scent was making me crazy. My trained of thought of how handsome he is broken when he made me sit on sofa. I look at him at breath hitched as how close his face was towards me. I had a sudden desire to kiss him. I gasped at my thoughts as I had never been so open about these things. I blushed at him when he cleared his throat at that time I was openly starting at him.
He then said " Umm you wait here I will bring first aid box." Saying this he went towards bathroom. As soon as he went I took a deep breath as I did not know what was happening with me.
He came out and helps with my ankle. After doing a bandage he said "You can sit here for some time."
I nodded at him and thank him but then I reminded myself that he had called me for some work so I said "Umm. Me Harrington you had called me for some work so if there is work I can do it here. "
He was about to disagree I can see it on his face but I said " It's just I can see you are busy so it will good if I help you with work."
He nodded and gave me files and said to do corrections in them. I nodded at him and started working on him.
When my work was done, I look at my watch and saw that it was 5 PM. So immediately called Juliet and told to wait for me since I can't go alone due my sprained ankle. But she told me that she has work pending so she was leaving late. I didn't tell her about my ankle sprain and told her that I will manage. She was telling me call Ashley but I didn't wanted to disturb her. I thought that I will call cab even if it cost more.
I didn't know that my conversation with Juliet was heard. So I was shocked when Me Harrington said "I will drop you, since you can't go alone."
I told him "There no need for that sir, my leg is feeling better now. You don't have to drop me. I will call the cab and leave. But thank you for the offer. "
He then stood up from his place and kneel down in front me and said "I was not offering Ms Rose but ordering you. And I don't like taking no from anyone. So I will drop you is that clear Ms Rose? "
I just nodded at him as he was too closed to me due to which my breath was getting hitched, my heart was beating rapidly. I just wanted to pull him and kiss him like there is no tomorrow. My cheeks turn red again and my bold thoughts. I was getting confused with boldness related to Mr. Harrington. I have never that these types of thoughts to any man. But I guess everything has the first time and Mr. Harrington is the first man who was making my heart beat faster just by looking at him.
After sometime he help me to walk towards parking lot, I was feeling happy and excited from inside as this was the first time anyone has done something for me. I guess what Ms hills and girls told about him was right. I just hope everyday I will meet this Mr. Harrington and not the yesterday's one.
