Extra: When They First Met (THE END)

1322 Words
Four years ago… Adam sat and watched everyone move to the rhythm of the music. He was bored. Bored of the girls rubbing on him, of his loud friends, of the alcohol that'd since turned bland in his tongue. He was getting too used to this. He drained his fifth bottle of alcohol, still unaffected by the usual drunkenness such overdrinking caused and stood up. The girls whined. “Adam! Where are you going? Come have fun with us!" The corner of his lips lifted into a smile. He'd already gotten a taste of what they're version of "fun” was and he wasn't interested in what they could offer. After being with so many girls he could count, he'd finally come to realize that as a nineteen year old boy, his tastes were… different. He ignored the leering looks from women and girls, and waved off his friends who called out to him. He moved through the crowd of people to sit by the counter, away from everyone else. And watched. Looking for something. Someone bumped into him, breaking his focus. He heard a gasp. “Sorry! Oh my gosh, are you alright!" a woman's voice slurred. He c****d his head downwards to look at the petite yet curvy woman who held a large half-empty bottle. Then she gasped again. “You're so hot!" Adam held down a laugh. It was funny, because he was thinking the same thing too. “Are you single?!" she blurted, her voice barely audible. “My name is Tabitha! What's your name?!" Then she shook her head in horror. “No! I have a boyfriend!" Adam had to laugh out now. Tabitha looked at him in awe. “You're really hot." She grinned, unsteady. “Yes, you've said that already," he responded calmly. His eyes traced her body and found himself pleased with what he saw. Her black dress was short and visibly tight, the back almost showing her entire ass while the front pushed out her breasts to the view of everyone that cared. Staring at her breasts, he felt a shoot of desire go down to his d**k. As if on instinct, he reached out and grabbed her by the waist right to his body. He hadn't intended for their body to fit so perfectly, but they did. Adam watched her watch him. She was so beautiful, her makeup minimal but her brown eyes almost drowning him in with their brightness under the lights. Tabitha didn't resist him. In fact, she leaned in. “I have a boyfriend," she repeated. He hummed. Sleeping with a drunk woman wasn't exactly a crime, but it was still a crime. He didn't want to commit a crime. But he did want to f**k her. Adam's thoughts brought him in and out of darkness. Would it be right to give into such a desire? She seemed willing too, with the way she was rubbing up on his body and the look in her eyes as she stared up at him. He searched the room. Nobody was watching. "I don't see your boyfriend,” he whispered into her ear, pleased as she shivered. He trailed a hand down from her waist. Just to cop a feel. But once he grabbed a sizable amount of her butt cheeks and heard her low moan, he found himself even more hard. He wanted to see everything. He wanted to feel everything. He tilted her chin up and brushed his lips against hers. “Boyfriend," she slurred in reminder. Adam was angry. “He doesn't seem to be here." She tried to push him off. “Well, he's busy with a trip… and… you look too young for me!” He sighed, still not letting go. "I'm twenty this year.” She frowned. “Ew, you're still a child!" She backed away from him and he frowned, dissatisfied by her resistance. “What's wrong with my age exactly?" he asked, getting closer. He could see what she was feeling through her eyes. Her breathing was heavy and her eyes trailed all over his body as her lips quivered. She wanted him too, so what was the use of this resistance?! “You're so young and you go to bars and clubs and… this is inappropriate!” No one had ever constantly rejected him like this. It was almost fascinating, if not annoying. To his surprise, she ran through the crowd of people, away from him, right out the door. He chased after her. One, worried because she was drunk. Two, he wanted to remain in contact with her for as long as possible. He couldn't let her leave just like that. The night air was cool on his skin, and Tabitha who'd just ran out was limping about under the night lights, trying to avoid the lustful looks of random men. One of whom tried to touch her. Adam was heated. He balled his fists and grabbed the man by the chest. “Touch her and you die," was all he said. It was a fact. He didn't know why he felt so protective over her, but he wanted to know just enough before anyone else. The thought of a random person having such access to her was… so upsetting. He wanted her. The defiant man was about to say something back until he saw the look in Adam's eyes that made him back away. The other men did too, throwing him weird looks. “Demonic eyes," he heard one of them mutter, but he ignored it. “Tabitha," he said to the woman who seemed lost in the parking lot. “Let me take you home." He took out his car keys, already deciding that s*x wasn't going to happen with her. She was too far gone with the alcohol. He made a note to pay her bill later too. He spent more than twenty minutes trying to convince her he wasn't a bad guy, getting her into his car and making sure she didn't unbuckle her seatbelt or open the windows indiscriminately. She was peppy, then sometimes resistant, then sometimes cried… it was a ball of emotions Adam was fascinated by. He found it amusing mostly. She'd finally given him her address and he'd driven her home. After getting her into her apartment, he stood by the door watching her relax on her bed. He contemplated staying or leaving her alone. What if she didn't remember him the next day? Would she appreciate a strange man in her house?” He sighed. They'd meet some other time then. Just as he was stalking out, he heard her call out. “Thank you, strange person," she mumbled. He smiled. “It's Adam." “Thank you, strange Adam," she corrected. “My boyfriend hates me being drunk. He thinks I'm embarrassing… I… I hope he doesn't find out…” Then she sobbed. "I think he's cheating… But…" Adam's expression got uglier the more she kept talking. Until she fell unconscious. In the silence of her house, he groaned. Should he kill that boyfriend of hers? Ade, was it? He didn't bother searching her house for anything as he stepped out of the house. He'd find out everything there was to know about her this week anyway since he knew her full name now. Tabitha Uduak. That was when he'd started getting obsessed. He found out everything there was to know about her and her family, her ex-boyfriends and just how much her boyfriend was a good-for-nothing man that didn't deserve her. She deserved so much better, she just didn't know she needed it from him. But he'd give it to her. He just had to grow up a little bit more and prove it to her. And years later, he met her again… by chance, of course. This time, no matter her resistance, he'd never let her go. Unless he said so.
