Jaxon POV

She is the most beautiful woman I have ever seen, holding her as she fell asleep was more peaceful than I thought. Maybe I can accept her and have her be my mate. Hearing her cry through the door after I dropped her off, was hard on Alistair, it took all of my control to not break the door down and get to her. I am gonna need some help to figure out what do to about this, what to do about her. I need to let Alistair out for a run, but first I need to go to training. As the alpha even though I am the strongest in the pack, I attend every morning training session except when I am away on pack business. I approach the training grounds to see Nate with a stupid grin on his face.

“Slept well?” He asked laughing.

“Shut up!”

“How’s the Luna?”

“Keep your voice down!”

“What? Are you really hoping to keep the fact that you brought home a she-wolf last night a secret?”

“I am trying to get you to shut your mouth! Start training or I will.” He puts his hands up in surrender and backs away.

“Lets are with a 7 mile warm up. Move it people!”

Good Goddess! what have I done by bringing her here.

Eva POV

I woke up after the most relaxing sleep I have had in a long time. I took a quick shower, brushed my teeth and redid my messy bun on my head. Looked at my phone saw 10 texts from Jane and Molly with 4 missed calls, I quickly let them know I am okay. I headed outside following Jaxon’s scent, it was faint but there. I opened the double doors leading to a large room. From the decor and size, I can guess this is his room.

“Baby, I didn’t here you come in.” Says a very naked she-wolf as she steps out of his bathroom. Looking at the unmade bed I can see something happened in here.

“So you the s*** he dragged home last night?” She questioned smugly.

I laughed, of course he has someone at home, why else would he leave me in the guest room last night. I look at the she-wolf and turn to leave the room.

“You show respect when the luna of a pack you’re visiting is talking to you!” She said.

“Luna? I I wasn’t aware this pack had a luna?”

“You’re looking at her!” She yelled

“So this whole pack is delusional, got it!” As I exited the room, she lunched her self at me, grabbing my bun causing my hair fall out everywhere. I spun around and pushed her back. “Do not touch me!” I screamed

“You think you can come in here and take what is rightfully mine?” She yelled lunging at me again, I ducked and swiped her feet out form under her. She fell on her a**. I took that opportunity to leave. I returned to guest room and put in my dress from last night, texted Jane to come get me from her pack and I walked out.

As I stepped it the room, I was punched in the stomach, knocking me down to me knees. She pulled me up by my hair, “you’re pathetic, to think you can be with him.” She slams her knees into stomach and I gasping for air on the floor. I never asked to be fated to this stupid alpha. I jumped on her and started punching her in the face, I hear her nose crunch and I know it’s broken.

I am on top of her in the hallway and she is screaming. Somehow she is still naked, as a werewolf that’s nudity is not strange but come on! If you’re going to fight with me at least put a shirt on. Suddenly I am lifted off of her by a strong pair of arms.

“Trisha stay back!” He ordered. She submitted. I’m guessing he’s ranked.

“Let go” he releases me and I run to the elevator. I gotta get out of this place.

I reached outside and start walking the direction we came from last night, the road was flanked with tall trees on both sides.

“Eva Stop!”

I don’t care. I ran into the tree line, shifted into my wolf and ran as fast as my legs would carry me. I need to go back, back to yesterday; back to when my life made sense and I was not hated for a luna position that I wasn’t accepted into. 25 absolutely sucks!

Jaxon POV

“ALPHA! GET OVER HERE NOW! There are two she-wolves fighting in front of your room!” The voice of my gamma Taylor blasted into my head. I ran towards the packhouse in time to see Eva walking away. What the f*** happened? I left her sleeping in her room? I called her name and she did not look my way.

I start towards he direction when in noticed she ran off into the trees, then I sensed her wolf and I stopped. Taylor walks outside, I grab him my the shirt, “WHAT HAPPENED?”

“Ask her” he points to a bloody Trisha, wearing only a t-shirt.

“What did you do?” I questioned, my alpha aura coming through.

“Jaxon, that crazy she-wolf just attacked me!”

“What do you mean she attacked you?”

“I was in your room, she came in and started throwing punches and calling me names! I didn’t even have a chance to introduce myself!” She starts crying. Ugh!!!

I’ve know Trisha since we were kids, she’s not ranked but we have been on and off for years. She assumes that one day I would make her my luna, she would be a decent choice since but Alistair hates her.

If that she-wolf touched my mate, I will r** her head off.

She comes close to me and I feel guilty so I hug her. Alistair growls, go after mate!

I see Taylor scowling at me, Nate must of told him about Eva. Once an alpha finds his mate the pack automatically feels protective of her even if before the luna ceremony. He turns and looks in the direction of Eva.

“Are you going after her or are we just gonna let her leave?”

“Let her go.” Alistair tried to force a shift but I push him back and block him. I take Trisha back inside and back to room, while I let my fated mate, run away from my pack.

Eva POV

My wolf reaches the edge to the Darkwoods pack and I see Chris, Molly, Daniel and Jane waiting for me near a black SUV, I shifted and Molly hands me sweatpants and a t shirt. I threw them on and got in the backseat. They piled back I got he car with Chris driving.

“What happened? Why are you leaving in your wolf form?” Asked Molly.

“He already has a luna” I said distantly as I looked out of the window.

“Are you talking about Trisha? She is not our luna, she just thinks she is because she warms the Jax’s bed.”

“That piece of sh*t” says Daniel and see the tension in his shoulders.

“Look guys, it’s fine! I’m fine! I came here to give it a shot and it didn’t work.” I wiped a tear before it fell. “I think I need to go home for a while.”

“You can’t just leave Eva.” Whined Jane

“She can and we are” replied Molly.

“I’ll get the jet ready,” chimed Daniel

“We can’t just take luna of a pack and run away with her!” Jane argues

“You can when the alpha has not accepted the bond or the luna.” I reply.

“So did he reject you or not?”

Chris asked , making Daniel growl.

“Well he certainly did not come after me as I left his house in my day old party dress.” Everyone sits quietly ad I replayed the events for the last 24 hours in my mind.

“Jane will you be coming with us?” Molly asks.

“I told my parents I met my mate last night and they are excited to meet him, they are very happy his your brother Eva. So I think a few days at your pack to meet your family will be great.”

“Okay then, we leave in 4 hours” Daniel announced. Without another word, we headed towards my apartment.
