Blurb

In a secretive mountain town, shape-shifters live in uneasy alliance—predators in peace—until a rogue werewolf appears, drawing the attention of a fiercely independent shifter named Elara. As forbidden feelings rise, old laws and ancient rivalries resurface. Trust, loyalty, and the meaning of love will be tested.

Elara: A rare fox-shifter with a sharp mind and untamed heart. Proud, loyal, but deeply lonely.

Kael: A mysterious werewolf with a dark past and golden eyes who doesn’t belong anywhere… until her.

Jase: Elara’s childhood friend (a jaguar-shifter) who harbors hidden feelings—and dangerous ambition.

The Council: A group of shape-shifter elders that ban cross-species bonds, especially with wolves.

Episode1
The night was too quiet. Elara stood barefoot on the edge of a cliff, her silver hair catching moonlight like threads of starlight. The wind carried the scent of pine, mist, and something else—something foreign. Her fox senses prickled, instincts stirring beneath her skin like a ripple beneath fur. Danger, or something close to it, had arrived. Below her, the forest lay in stillness. No owls called. No deer wandered. The silence was absolute—and unnatural. She narrowed her amber eyes, nose twitching. He was near. “Elara,” came a familiar voice from behind. Jase. His sleek figure emerged from the trees, his black jaguar form morphing mid-step into his human body—dark hair, golden skin, sharp cheekbones. “You feel it too?” “Of course I feel it.” Her voice was low, clipped. “The forest’s holding its breath.” “I caught the scent. Not one of ours.” He stepped beside her, eyes scanning the valley. “It’s strong. Wild.” “Wolf,” she said. He turned sharply. “We haven’t seen a werewolf in these lands in a decade.” “Not since the border pact,” she agreed. “And none were allowed to cross. If one did…” Jase didn’t finish. He didn’t have to. Everyone in Black Hollow knew the law: No werewolves in shifter territory. The last time one did, there was blood. Too much blood. Elara exhaled slowly and began descending the hill. “We’ll find him before the Council does.” “Why?” Jase asked, tone cool. “Let them deal with it.” She didn’t look back. “Because the Council doesn’t ask questions. They just kill.” The forest was alive again the moment they stepped below the ridge. A rustle of movement here, a distant hoot there—but the deeper they went, the stranger it became. The scent of wolf—thick, smoky, sharp—clung to the trees like a warning. They followed it down a narrow path, roots twisting like veins. Jase moved like shadow, silent and fluid, while Elara stalked with fox-like grace, every movement calculated. She crouched behind a thicket and raised her hand to stop him. There. A figure hunched near the river, half-hidden in mist. The scent of blood wafted from him, sharp and metallic. A fresh wound ran along his side, torn flesh and fur mingled with sweat. His head jerked up as if he sensed them. Even from a distance, Elara saw his eyes—bright gold, piercing, and… human. He wasn’t in full wolf form. Just on the edge. The place where man and monster blurred. “Stay here,” she told Jase. “Like hell.” “I’m faster.” She darted from the brush before he could argue, light on her feet. Her shift flickered beneath her skin, muscle and fur itching to explode forward—but she held it back. He didn’t move. Even as she approached, his eyes watched, unblinking. Alert. Ready. She stopped ten paces away. “You’re not supposed to be here.” His voice was gravel and breath. “Didn’t come here to fight.” “That’s good,” she said. “Because you'd lose.” A slow smile tugged at his lips. “Would I?” Elara took another step, and for a moment, the moon slipped from the clouds and lit his face fully. He was younger than she expected—maybe late twenties—but battle-worn, scarred across the jaw and collarbone. His black hair was matted with blood, his hand pressed tight to the wound at his ribs. “Name,” she said. “Kael.” She nodded. “I’m Elara.” “You smell like fox,” he said. “You smell like trouble.” He gave a dry chuckle, then winced in pain. “What are you doing in Black Hollow?” she asked. “You crossed the river. You know the law.” Kael’s gold eyes held hers. “I didn’t have a choice.” Jase stepped from the trees at that moment, and Kael immediately shifted, the muscles in his shoulders tense, eyes narrowing. “Easy,” Elara said, holding out a hand. “He’s with me.” Kael didn’t relax, but he didn’t move either. Jase’s gaze was hard. “He’s lying.” “Maybe,” Elara said. “But he’s bleeding and alone. Doesn’t feel like an invasion.” “You don’t know wolves,” Jase snapped. “They manipulate. Twist your sympathy into weakness.” “I don’t need your protection,” she said coolly. Their eyes locked—hers calm and defiant, his frustrated and simmering. Then she turned back to Kael. “You can’t stay here. But I’m not dragging you to the Council either. They’ll kill you before you can explain anything.” Kael met her gaze. “Then help me.” Her breath caught. The raw honesty in his voice startled her more than any threat might have. There was desperation, yes—but also sincerity. Something old and heavy in his eyes. “Come with us,” she said. Jase growled in protest, but she ignored him. “You’ll heal in our territory. But you’ll stay hidden. And if you try anything—” “I won’t,” Kael said. “I just need time.” Elara held his eyes for a long moment, then nodded once. “Let’s go.” She reached for him as he swayed, his body finally giving in. She caught his arm, and for a moment, his skin burned against hers—not from heat, but from the jolt that passed between them. Jase saw it too. He said nothing. But his glare spoke volumes.
