I close the door once I enter the room, still swaying with the motions. I lean onto the door, staring at the rock in my hand. It was such a strange thing for a siren to do, and why did Tara agree to take me back to the realm? She knew that if I died her commitment to my father of my protection would kill her instantly. Maybe she had given me a great deal of siren magic, that combined with my own, I should be able to wipe out the Valkarie. Hmm-hmm. I jump at the sound of Hunter clearing his throat. "You're still here?" I say, leaning with my back against the door. "Well, yes. I was certain you would try to convince Queen Tara to let us go back. If that didn't work, you'd try to jump out of a window and make your way to the realm on your own. It really could have gone either way." Hu
