Ashley Frost had just celebrated her 5th Birthday, and was sound asleep when an explosion shook the floor and woke her up. She reacted without thinking, doing exactly what her parents had taught her as she went to her closet. She placed her hand against the pad, and it opened quickly before she launched herself down the slide before she felt the whole thing vibrate. The door had slammed shut right behind her, and had no clue that the second explosion had completely destroyed the wing where her room was. She slid to a stop in the secure bunker that only the Royal Family and a few trusted guards could access. She walked to the bank of monitors, and was able to see everything as it happened. She quickly found her parents on them, glad they were still fighting against whatever it was that had attacked them. She saw the explosions, the bodies flying through the air, and was glad that she was not in the middle of it. For hours she watched, sad that her brother had not joined her, and knew that by now he never would. Before it had finished, she had felt even this bunker shake repeatedly. It was after a bad one that she watched what remained of the Palace collapse, just as her mother was stabbed through the chest with a claw that had 4 blades attached. Her father grabbed his chest for just a moment, but was all his opponent had needed to cut his head clean off. She knew in that moment, no matter what happened, her place was no longer here. She grabbed the bag that was hers, and in a moment of clarity took the bags for her mother and father as well. She knew it would be a difficult journey, but the passage was a secure way to the nearest pack. She took her brothers bag as well, barely able to walk with all of the weight. As soon as she was inside the passageway, she placed her hand on the keypad and entered the code her father had taught her. 'When all seems lost, remember the code. 141286. Take the passage, you will find safety at the other end. If you are alone, tell no one who you are. Anyone we send will know who you are, and will come to you with the code "Selene,"' he had told her. As soon as she put the code in, the door slammed shut, and a countdown started as the cart unlocked just as she jumped in. Within seconds she was being whisked away at rapid pace of speed as she felt the biggest rumble of them all. A minute later she came to a stop, and blinked as a row of red lights came on. Her vision adjusted quickly, and she went through the Packs to find anything she could use. Each of them had an ID card in them, and she took all 4 of them. She didn't know why they were important, but she had seen her parents use them all the time. She took items from each of the bags, leaving only the food from hers in the big one that had been her dad's. She left the weapons, as she had no clue how to use them in the first place. It was over an hour later when she finally opened the door, and took a careful look around where she was at. The door closed automatically behind her, and looked like any other maintenance hatch to one of the municipal buildings. She looked at the sign, and smiled when she saw that it said Manchester City Hall. She had been here a few times before, and knew that her mother's sister lives a few blocks away. As she watched, dozens of Wolves were making their way through the Human City. They were all running from the attack, and she merged into the crowd as she walked. She knew exactly where she was going, and smiled after a few blocks as she finally reached her Aunt's house. She walked up the path, and k ocked on the door. She didn't flinch when her Aunt had a large gun when she answered the door. "Ashley?" she asked shocked as hell before she pulled her niece in and shut the door behind her. "Are you alone?" Ashley felt the tears threaten to overwhelm her as she nodded, and her Aunt pulled her into a tight hug. "I am so sorry sweetie." Stephanie Wyllt said. "Come on, it's not safe to leave yet." she said as she lead Ashley to the basement bunker where her Uncle was. He looked at her and Stephanie, and he held her tight before she felt herself slump. "She won't remember anything before today, not even her name. We will need to leave at dawn like your sister said." Merlin said to his wife. "The Pack is not far from here, and we will leave as soon as it is light." Stephanie said as she walked to her own safe. She pulled out the bags, and added the items from Ashley's into her own. She added the identity her father had set up for them, and a few other items that she knew she would need later. "How long until she remembers?" "When she gets her Lycan fully." he told her as the two of them planned to make their escape.
