Chapter 3

1010 Words
I found myself following him to the parking area. He did not even bother to walk a bit slowly so that I could easily catch up on him. Instead he was striding so fast and with his long legs taking big fast steps, I was struggling with my small quick steps. In the back of my mind,  I was wondering if he was trying to escape from me, hence the fast walk, but I chose to believe that he was just worried about his car. I caught him turning his head a bit just enough to check if I was still following him and when he surely found me there, there was a smug smile on his face. I thought I heard somebody call my name but I dare not turn around for if I did, I might lose him in the crowd. It was well expected since it was a weekend, the only possible day for me to meet him up since there was no work I had to worry about, the mall was so packed with people coming from and going to different places. Suddenly, he slowed down his pace and smiled at me which I gladly returned. We were almost at the exit door going to the parking area. The parking area was outside the building and it was an open space. It was well in the afternoon and the sun was shining briskly. Although we started to walk a bit more slowly now, I could feel the sweat streaming down my back and my forehead. He extended his hand towards me asking me to hold it while we were walking in the middle of the deserted parking lot.  "So, where's your car?" I asked, trying to break the ice. "Car? I've got no car." He responded grinning. "What are the keys for?"  "Motorbike.." he said while pointing to a blue and silver motorbike. "Oh…" "Why?? Any problem? You don't know how to ride a motorbike" "Well.. I do." He winked at me and wrapped his arm around my shoulders. Gosh! He was so tall. I felt like a dwarf standing close to him.  We were all sweaty when we finally reached our destination. There was a man who seemed to be waiting for him there and claiming to have been keeping an eye on his car... or should I say motorbike. Yes, it was a motorbike, not the car I was expecting.  After thanking the man standing beside his bike, he hopped on and started the engine. How about me?  This whole situation has been awkward from the very beginning. Would he leave me here? Was I so stupid for not taking the clue he's been shouting at my face the whole time? He doesn't like me. Then, he grinned.  Oh, that smile.. It melted me on the spot. Using his head, he signalled me to hop on behind him which I gladly did. At that time, I wasn't so used to riding a motorcycle which made me a bit scared, but I had no choice. I wanted to be with this man I just met a few minutes ago. I felt like I trusted him from the moment I saw him and did not even doubt where he would take me. "Where are we going?" A little louder than intended. "Where do you want to go?" He asked. "Anywhere."  "Okay, then." I felt his hands finding mine behind him. He stretched them around his waist and through his smile, asking permission if it is okay to hold him. We were so close that my frontal body was pressed onto his back. I smiled.  It was a quiet drive. I couldn't say it was a peaceful one since my heart was thumping with anticipation. I didn't even know where we were heading to but I fully trusted my life to him at that very moment. He asked me several times where I wanted to go, but I refused to give any answers aside from.. Your choice. I did not want this moment to end. I had never been this close to any men before. I never had been touched this way. A touch of desire, want, and lust. I sometimes feel that he was massaging my arms and squeezing my hands then he would smile. I was not rejected after all. Then, he stopped. I looked around at the place so familiar to me. It wasn't somewhere you would be proud of being seen by anybody you know, especially your parents. Moreover, it was not the place where you would expect to be taken on your first date. I did not know what to say or do. I just waited for the next actions he would take. He put the stand on the bike and faced me.  "Let's check in?"  he said with a pleading smile. We were now in front of the gate of one of the well-known motels in the area. I had never been to that place, but hoped and even fantasized one many times with no one in particular. Just a man who would leave lingering touches on my body. Someone who would kiss the whole of me with so much passion and want. Someone who would embrace me in his arms while confessing his love for me. Someone whom I would whisper sweet nothings with. Someone who would let me rest my head on his chest while he was playing with my hair until we drifted off. The same person I would wake up the next day until we would have to go home. Someone who would let me experience what womanhood is all about.  I stared into his eyes trying to read what's on his mind. I never prepared for this situation wherein a man would ask me such a question. A part of me wanted to shout Yes!Yes!Yes! but a part of me was saying No! This is not like you at all. Sensing the hesitation in my mind, he asked me again. Do you love me? I nodded.
