The Warriors of Rose

= CHAPTER ONE =

Looking into the darkness with nothing but a faint light that dims in the background Rianna looked closely to the dimming light and starts hearing a distance but very familiar voice...

"Mum?..where are you?"

"Not long now dear...It is almost here."

"What's coming...Mum? What's almost here?"

"Don't hold back when the time comes Rianna... "

"Mum...Mum? Don't go, please come back. Mum...Mum?!"

Rianna suddenly woke up in a shock throwing her upper body forward with tears sliding down her cheeks, this was just one of her many dreams that Rianna had with her mother this has always happened to Rianna ever since losing her. Rianna never really found out how her mother died but she has always known that she was much loved and that a part of her lives in Rianna's dream from that day. All that Rianna knows is that her mother loved her with every bit of her heart.

Rianna looked over to her right seeing her twin sister, Leanna was still sound asleep, peacefully. Atleast one of them is getting enough sleep, it was her first time that Rianna ever got to talk to her mother and it was confusing and it did scare her a little. Looking back over to her left Rianna picked up a photo from her bedside table, by clicking on the silver lamp beside her the photo shone up of her mother, her name was Isabella Rose she was the centre of the Rose family, Isabella always showed her happy, cheerful face and cared about her family very much. Rianna huffed to herself before putting the photo back and turned the lamp off as she tried to go back to sleep.

The next morning Leanna's blue alarm clock started shaking side to side as it rang, waking her up, she moved her legs round and had a stretch with a yawn following after it, looking over to Rianna, she was still fast asleep, Leanna got up and walked over to her bed she looked over her sister's shoulder before waking her up and she noticed straight away..."Not Again.." Leanna mumbled to herself, she decided to leave Rianna to sleep abit longer and went off down stairs. On her away down she saw her father talking to someone on the home phone, Leanna sat her bottom on the stairs and decided to listen in on the conversation.…

"So would you be able to look after them for 3 weeks? I know it's such short notice but this job just came through and if I can land this, this could expand our profits big time"

"Ok Elijah, when do you want me to have them? and what time?"

“Today if you can? I'll drop them round in abit just before lunch."

“Yes of course my dear."

"Thanks a lot, your amazing!"

*giggles* "no problem see you."

"ok bye"

Elijah put the phone down and walked into the kitchen, Leanna followed after and grabbed a white china bowl out of one of the cupboards, she tipped in a bowlful of her favourite breakfast, pulled some milk in which she got from the fridge and grabbed a silver spoon from one of their draws, she sat down opposite Elijah watching him writing in his work diary while she took a spoonful of cereal, "Who was you talking to on the phone just as I came down the stairs?" she questioned him with a mouthful "You and Rianna will be sleeping round your Grandma's house for 3 weeks." her father replied still writing, "We can stay here Dad, Grandma Sue can check on us now and then we will be..."

"No Leanna...." Elijah cut her short, "this trip is for 3-weeks Lea, I can't leave you in your sister that long home alone.."

"But we won't be on our own Dad, Grandma Sue can phone us to check in on us now and then.." Elijah stopped writing and put his pen down in a huff, "No Leanna, i have already spoken with your grandma and she has already said she will take you both, now go upstairs, wake your sister up and both of you need to start packing as we will be leaving soon." As Elijah got up out the chair Lea stared down at her bowl, stirring it around with her spoon. Without another word Elijah walked off leaving Lea in silence for a minute just looking at her cereals, briefly a few minutes later Leanna look back up from her bowl and notice Rianna walking in rubbing her right eye then sat down opposite her, "We're sleeping round Grandma's for few a weeks." Leanna quietly mumbled "Why?" Rianna replied "because dad got to go on one of his business trips again.."

"oh…" Rianna said quietly, she noticed Leanna was looking at her cereals but not eating it, "Lea?"

"What?"

"Why didn't you wake me up?"

At first Lea went quiet then she answered.

"You did it again.... You dreamt about Mum didn't you...?"

Rianna turned her head away,

"Your eyes were puffy from crying and I thought to leave you to sleep a little bit more since you didn't have much by the looks of it." Lea got up from the table and put her bowl of cereals in the sink then turned and faced Rianna, everything went quiet again for a few minutes then Lea finally broke it,

"Well we better pack our stuff dad's expecting us ready and out the door soon"

“But I haven’t had my breakfast yet.. and I am hungry.”

“We haven’t got time Rianna; you can have something to eat when we get to Grandmas, come on let's go."

Leanna walked past Rianna and Rianna got up from her chair and followed Leanna up the stairs...

Outside the home in-between the houses opposite is a dark alley, looking closely you can see a glimpse of a sword shining against the sun.. and a black figure, just standing there...watching. Watching them.
