Chapter Twenty-Seven
Reg Franks waited beside Seddon Academy’s one-and-only minibus for the group for tonight’s outing to arrive. For a man in his late sixties, he was very grateful for his job as the school’s general handyman.
He had always been an early riser, so having to wake up each morning an hour before anyone else so that he could check the elderly boiler was no trouble at all. For the rest of the day, he was his own man. No one at the school noticed him shuffling around in his overalls, moving from one task to the next, and he made a point of not acknowledging any of the girls.
