Luka's POV She apologized for being late, but I'd barely listened to her excuse. I was just waiting for her to fumble a question so I could end the whole process. But she didn't fumble. She answered every question clearly and confidently. She asked intelligent questions about the role and unlike the others, she asked me what was expected of her. By the end of the interview, I'd hired her on the spot. Since then we'd had what I considered a perfect work relationship. She was always there when I needed her, always efficient, always one step ahead. I snapped at her sometimes when I was stressed, which happened often, but she never took it personally, she'd just nod, say yes sir, then get things done exactly as I'd asked. I really didn't want to go through the process of hiring someone
