Luka's POV
The office was unusually noisy when I arrived. I expected to walk in and see my secretary, Sabrina, bustling around trying to arrange the files on my table and answering the calls that always rang through my office line every minute.
Instead her desk was empty, she was nowhere to be seen, and the telephone on her desk was ringing nonstop. I knew she sometimes ran errands or handled things in other departments, but her computer was turned off with her usual coffee mug missing from its spot next to her keyboard.
I headed into my office, dropped my briefcase on the desk, already reaching into my pocket for my phone so that I could call her. Before I could even sit down, there was a knock on the door.
"Come in."
