 Maddog and Blade run over looking just as shocked as Lils looks

"BABY Kenzie why haven't you said anything before?"

"I'm s-s-sorry I stutter"

because I'm in so much pain I can't talk, Maddog scopes me up of the floor and runs out the bar with Blade and Lil following us, I'm gently placed into the back of a truck I rest my head on Lil's lap as we speed to the hospital.

We arrive at the hospital after what feels like hours but was probably around 15 minutes, Once again Madodg scoops me up and runs through the hospital door shouting

"Help!!  she in pain and shes pregnant"

  A nurse rushes over with a wheelchair and takes me to a room Mad-Dog and Blade wait outside while me and Lilly wait for a doctor.

"So pregnant huh how far along are you and why didn't you tell me ?"Lilly asks with a hurt expression.

"Sorry I just needed time to process everything with settling in here worrying about work and trying to learn that I'm safe,"

"SO do you know how far along you are?"

" No I'm not sure how far along I am because I haven't seen a doctor, I was going to tell you, Lil, It's just   all of this is all different for me, for the past three years I've been living in fear and have always been told what I can and can't do so I'm still adjusting ."

She's about to reply when the curtains are pulled open and in walks a doctor and nurse.

"Hi I'm Doctor Brown whats brought you here today?"

" Hi I'm McKenzie I've recently found out I'm pregnant, I'm not sure how far along I am as I've just moved here so haven't found a doctor yet, AHH OW OW"

I cry out as the pain gets stronger clutching my stomach, Dr Brown starts pressing down on my stomach and when he presses on my right side I cry out even more because it hurts so much more now he's pushing on it. The nurse walks back in wheeling a machine behind her Dr Brown tells me it's a sonogram machine he pulls my trousers low on my hips and squirts some gel on my stomach, he presses a wand-like thing on to my stomach and I can't help wincing because of the pain He's quietly studying the machine, after few minutes he pauses the screen and sits down in the chair next to my bed I start to cry because I know it's going to be bad news.

"OK McKenzie you are indeed pregnant  but you are pregnant with fraternal twins and I'm sorry to say its a hetero-topic pregnancy,"

I just stare at him wondering what the heck he's talking about he must take my silence to continue talking,

  " So McKenzie what that means is you have one fetus growing in the uterus and one is growing outside  your uterus, which is why you're in so much pain as the fetus grows it puts pressure on your tube, we need to do emergency surgery to remove the fetus from your tube but this is not without risk to the fetus that's growing in the uterus, are you following me so far McKenzie do you have any questions?."

"I erm I is, am is, wait why do you keep saying fetus and not babies?"

I cant hear the doctor replying but I can't understand what he's saying my ears have gone fuzzy like I'm underwater the I faintly hear  Lil ask what the chance of the baby that's in my uterus surviving surgery is and that's what has me focusing again just as Dr Brown says there a 50-66% chance of the baby in my uterus surviving surgery.I feel myself calm slightly now that there's a chance of one-off my babies surviving now that's there a chance I won't lose both babies, Dr Brown says he's going to go and book my surgery as it needs to be done right away.Maddog and Blade come in as the Dr leaves and Lily explains what's happening, I'm to mentally drained to talk to anyone, I lay back and close my eyes thinking about the last few hours, I've gone from being pregnant to thinking I'd lost my baby to still being pregnant but with twins but by the end of the day I either still be pregnant but with only one baby or  I'll be lost them both, Maddog walks over and takes my hand,

"Angel I'm so sorry you're going through this, please try and think positive thoughts, you seem like a survivor so that baby takes after you then they fight this, and I know we've only just meat but if you need anything at all please let me know I'll be there for you as much as I can."T-t-thank you it means a lot that you'd say that, if there's anything I need ill be sure to ask and at the moment I'm not really sure I can think positive when there is a chance by tonight ill be without both my babies." I know its hard angel but remember the doctor said there's a 50-66% chance and that's still a chance remember what you've survived to be here."I'm about to reply when Dr Brown comes back in with two orderly's behind him, I can't stop my tears from falling this is happening so quickly for some reason I reach out and grab mad dogs hand, he looks down at me startled but gives my hand a gentle squeeze leaning down he whispers encouraging words into my ear and it's just what I needed, kissing his cheek I thank him and let go of his hand, I say bye to Lil and Blade then I'm wheeled out of the room. I'm wheeled into theatre and this is where I start praying for my baby to survive, a mask is placed over my mouth and I'm told to count backwards from 10."10-9-8-7-6-5-4" my eyes drift close my last thoughts of my babies.
