"S.hit, s.hit, s.hit," I curse out as another contraction washes over me. "Where in the h.ell is Gavin," I yell at Jen.
"They're almost here," she tells me as she picks up her phone to call Shawn again. Shawn and James took Gavin out as an early birthday gift because they were worried he wasn't going to be able to celebrate anything once the baby got here. Their timing however, has turned out to be less than perfect because this baby had decided to make his entrance into the world two weeks early. And now my husband, and birthing partner, is, I don't even know how far away now because Jen won't tell me. She just keeps telling me they'll be here soon, or they're almost here. I'm about to rip her a new one for lying to me when I hear a car pull into the driveway.
