Two days, I had been in the hospital now for two days. And Gavin hasn't left our side once. Charlie woke up yesterday when they finally got her fever down and she was currently on a round of IV antibiotics for her kidney infection. The doctors said we were lucky to have brought her in when we did or she would have suffered irreparable damage to her kidney. She was only up for a few hours before taking a nap. The doctors assured me it was perfectly normal and she would likely be sleeping more than usual over the next few days. When she was awake though she seemed more like herself, laughing and playing around. Gavin reading books in silly voices seems like it might be her new favorite thing.
