Eddie was watching the sky change color while Mecken brought him into town. When his brain started to slither and squirm, Eddie wasn’t even surprised. He merely looked over at Mecken, who looked guiltily back at him. Eddie crossed both hands in his lap when Mecken brought the ATV to a jerky stop. Angry, stupid, selfish!
