CHAPTER XXXI : AN EVEN ODDER SIGN

-Kurezma-

     I woke up feeling electrified and feeling strong... somehow, i'm happy that i succeeded with the process of meditation and be able to use my sword with thunder. I felt power within my sword and it's very unusual... and quite exciting too. I wonder what kind of things I can do with this. 

    I was literally electrified when i opened my eyes, electricity ran all over my body without missing any point that they can't touch me or else they'd be zapped. I can sense the energy that i just acquired so far, and i gained consciousness towards my sword. This feels so incredible! It's like it's my own hands... Ashtan wasn't lying when he told us this.

    I sat there for a while waiting for my overflowing energy to calm down so that i can freely move and rest for a bit. Ashtan told me that it's natural to be like this after locating our power source, which i believe. So this is what happened to him last time, that's why he just woke up electrified too, now i know.

    I wonder if Yanars do this, do they erupt after locating their power source? ahahahaha Or Vands soak and drown themselves after? What about the Dimians and the Teras, what happens to them? Or does Alsumus poison themselves like how we electrify ourselves? Wait, then does that mean Breens freeze for a while and wait for minutes until they cool down ahahahaha just kidding. 

    I saw my brother with his amazed gaze towards me, i remember he told me last time that he learned this skill in a different process, that's why he had a hard time dealing with it. Unlike us, we undergone a specific and logical process which made it easy for us. Lucky for us then. No wonder why he's that strong 'cause he handled hard and unsual situations already.

    After some time, Aisha woke up the same state as i was. I felt my body at ease, my breaths went back to normal and my heart ceased upon pounding too much. I felt my power becoming stable and controlable at this time. Everything went back to the way as it is. 

    I just looked at Aisha silently sitting next to Nazif being frozen at the moment not able to move anything. She must have felt the same energy and strength that i have felt a while ago. That same power that runs from our hands to oue weapons.

"Is it common to be paralyzed after this process?" she asked as she just sat there for a while, maybe she already realized that she can't move parts of her body yet due to the electrification... well, she just have to wait for her to get conditioned just as I did... that's all

"Yes, that's normal, after your energy calms itself down, you can move already and rest for a while" Ashtan explained breifly and looked at her with a soft expression, she looked down towards the ground and sighed

"Good to hear" Aisha mumbled and waited until her normal state comes back again

"Isn't Nazif taking too long? Is he having a hard time finding his energy source?" Kuzma asked that made me look at the person meditating in a short distance away next to me

"Maybe, i don't know" Ashtan answered as he bent down his knees to level himself with Nazif and stared at him intently "Strange" he mumbled indistinctively but enough for me to hear, his eyebrows met each other, his eyes widen, and his lips sticking out

"Well, our energy sources are in different places, so although we started at the same time, we won't end simultaneously, right?" Kuzma stated as he folded his arms and leaned forward examining Nazif too

"Yea, especially when the ringing noise started to reach its maximum volume, you won't understand where its bringing you anymore" i added as i remember that irritable ringing noise that didn't help me at all, it just gave me pain on my ears... 

    And speaking of, i can still feel the pain and my mind keeps repeating that sound again and again like a broken tape... it sucks! Gosh, it's on my mind now... and I can't take it off!

"I had hard time looking for it too, and now i was a little cautious... you know, i might stumble at something again and end up meditating for weeks ahahahahaha" Aisha interrupted as she stood up and got her water bottle to drink "I even went into different directions to make sure that i was following the right one already" she added as she finished drinking her water and closed it to put it down, that's why she ended longer than me...

"Let's just wait for him" Ashtan mumbled as he went back on his legs again and stood tall as i followed his gaze that made me look up... my neck!

    I just sat there comfortably waiting for Nazif to finish, i noticed my sword on my side glowing lightly with thunder. I smiled at the thought of learning another strong technique that i may be able to use in the future. And it felt so powerful.

-Kuzma-

    I just sat there out of amusement as I stared at them. Each of them just gained consciousness and so much power, and i'm so proud of them especially Kurezma. Ashtan stood up and went to get his water from his bag, while i, Kurezma, and Aisha are left sitting on the grass and waiting for Nazif to open his eyes to get over with his meditation. 

    It's been a couple of hours since Kurezma and Aisha retired from their meditation, yet Nazif is still sitting there, eyes closed and self indulged within. I wonder what's taking him so long. Did he stumble at something again just like what happened to Aisha?

    Suddenly the whole field was electrified by a very strong lightning that came out of nowhere, so strong that it made us all gasp out of shock and terror... what was that for? Thank goodness no one was struck by it and didn't hit anything but the ground, or else they may end up dying in an very painful death. 

    Then it was followed by another one, way stronger and powerful than the one before. That lightning struck the ground with so much power as it plowed the soil hardly and deeply where it runs, as if destroying everything that gets on the way. What's happening? Who's doing that?

    It rumbled wildly and loudly hurting my eardrums together with the heavy rain suddenly pouring fear and dread all over us that soaked us into our worst nightmare. It raged angrily all over as it roared as loud as it can be that resounded the whole place with its growl of a varmint. 

    I can hear chattering of glasses somewhere with no choice but breaking into pieces, i can hear people screaming in fear that they ended up running for the safety of their lives, and i can hear things crashing and falling on the ground pushed by strong forces as the wind blew uncontrolably ferocious. 

    The trees were struck by the lightning that broke it which made it fell harshly to the ground and burn its leaves into ashes. Later that, lightning one by one struck consecutively to the open field accepting its awful fate at the moment.

     I quickly stood up as i noticed another lightning that came raging towards our position. I ran backwards, and so did Aisha and Kurezma to a different direction saving ourselves from a dangerous attack. We're Truenos, yet we're not sure if we can handle it.

    What's happening right now? I saw Ashtan from a far supporting Kurezma to stand up and ran towards safety. My eyes searched for Aisha in the midst of the chaos going on around, but i can't see her. I was just lying helpless on the ground looking for someone. 

    I was relieved to see Aisha running out of this place. Now, i turned my gaze towards Nazif who's still under the process of finding his energy source. A thunder went striking him but it seems like some kind of force field circling around him prevented it to hit him. I noticed something separated from the last struck of lightning and made its way towards Nazif and hit him on his neck. What was that...?

    As soon as the raging thunder, furious winds, and heavy rain subsided, i ran towards Nazif worriedly seeing that he was hit by something. It could've killed him...

     As i came near him, his eyes are still closed but i can see him panting fast, catching for his breath. I noticed other people running towards our direction and recognized it was Ashtan, Kurezma, and Aisha. They went beside me and observed Nazif as he opened his eyes slowly. 

    The weather went back to normal but the destruction is still present. The ground was dismantled, the trees were broken, and some of the benches and cottages were not in condition. I suspect these things that happened are related to Nazif, that he has something to do with this. I don't know, but what do you think after all the destruction yet he was just firm sitting and meditating, right? Got my point? ahahahaha

"How are y---ouch!" i grunted as i touched Nazif asking him if he's fine but i only got zapped by electricity. Right, he just woke up and he's overflowing with power and energy right now ahahahaha I almost forgot

"Sorry" he shyly said as he looked at me worriedly "I'm fine, thanks" he answered my question and looked everywhere "What happened here?" he asked curiously motioning his head towards his side

"The thunder is out raging again and damage this whole place... someone might have summoned it" i answered him pertaining to him also with a joking tone as i chuckle afterwards, I knew no one would get it ahahahaha

"I'm sorry, i don't know what happened" he apologized as he continued examining the whole place

"What happened to you? you were meditating for almost four hours, you were like a couple of hours late" Ashtan asked him telling him how he lost track of time

"I don't know, my energy source suddenly disappeared out of nowhere, and then these specks of dust formed a symbol and it went circling me.. and then things went on.... i don't exactly know, i don't understand either" he answered with bewilderment on his tone and expression not even understanding what had happened to him

    He scratched his neck lightly that reminded me of that thing that struck his neck a while ago.... but let's not mind that for now, he seemed fine after all. Besides, I don't see any mark that says it was being hit by something after all

    We just let him rest there for a while and asked Kurezma to dry us all from being soaked due to the rain. She used her fire and air powers to make that possible.
