CHAPTER LVIII : THE CORONATION

2385 Words
-Kuzma-             Several days have passed, and now it’s time for me to be crowned as the prince of Fairy Kingdom and next in line as the king. I can’t imagine that I’d be like this. Last week, I was just a normal boy who was sent to participate as the thunder hero, and now, I’m going to be the successor of the throne of the highest tribe in Azhakkstadd.             I already learned somehow from sir Seier these past few days, and I can say that I am ready to be the prince of the Fairy Kingdom and be part of its restoration. Sir Seier is a great teacher despite his old age. He taught me exactly what he taught my father and my grandfather.             He made me understand everything about being one of the royal family in just that short amount of time. He is incredible! He’s an amazing teacher and I am a fast learner student ahahahaha I want to make my father proud, and also my mother if she sees this. And Kurezma too, I want to tell her the good news when we meet again.             I woke up early this morning due to excitement. I immediately prepared my own clothes that I will wear later at the coronation. My father had already brought it yesterday to my room and supposedly there will be someone to fix it so that I would just wear it instantly later, but I preceded them.             I even prepared my own breakfast, which is normal for me since I’ve been preparing our own food since we were little along with Kurezma. But here in the palace, there were so many people doing our food. Yea, seriously, there are so many people in the kitchen busy preparing the food for us when there’s only me, the king, and Seier in the dining table.             There were also a lot of people bringing so many foods in our table. I mean there’s a lot of food, like it’s always a feast in here. I wonder where they bring all the left overs, the food is amazing, I wish everyone could taste it. I hope they don’t throw away those left overs and just give it to someone so that it won’t go to waste.             And it’s so awkward when I take a bath… like there’s always this someone who guards me whenever I take a shower… always. He’s not watching though, just guarding. So speaking of guards, if you think that you’re the most useless person in the whole wide world, just imagine that I have guards when I graduated as the strongest student, and was so close to become the Thunder Hero…             My father told me that I was somehow late to be crowned. I’m already twenty years old. Every prince should be crowned as they reach our eighteenth birthday. Due to that circumstance, I was crowned late. But it’s fine, better late than never, right?             I am just sitting here right now while these palace servants are busy fixing my looks… I mean, don’t get me wrong, I am handsome. They’re just putting some make up on so that I would look more like a prince. And it’s just light make up because I’m already handsome.             After the makeover, they assisted me upon wearing my clothes. This looked so fancy, and I’m not used to it but sir Seier told me that I should start to get used to it.               “Do you Kuzma Zhentiini Kadmos, accept all the responsibilities as the Fairy Kingdom’s Crowned Prince, and a successor to the throne?” the head of the council asked me as part of the coronation rites             “I accept” I shortly answered him. I just sat down calmly on my chair as I waited until they put the crown on my head… I wish my mother was here to witness this, and also Kurezma. She would be very happy to see me like this.             He walked towards the crown and slowly picked it up. He raised it up high where the sunlight touches the crown and glowed brightly before everyone. He slowly walked in front of me and placed the crown on my head and gave me a smile. I smiled back at him.             “Thank you” I whispered at him             “You’re welcome your highness” he said as he stepped aside showing me to the people, he signaled me to stand up and present myself to everyone. They all clapped their hands as I stood up and stepped forwards for everyone to see.               After I gave my remarks to everyone, and as they gave me their respect, the crowning rites has finished. I went back to my room and took of my clothes… so now I’m officially the prince.               “Are you ready son?” my father asked me as he lead to a room I don’t know where. It’s somehow far from my room, we passed through a lot of hallways, and I lost track of the direction. He just told me that the restoration ritual would be done there.             After I was crowned yesterday, he told me to take a rest so that I could prepare myself even more for this. He also asked sir Seier to help me prepare myself physically, mentally, and emotionally since this kind of ritual that we will be doing is not that easy and we have to be strong in those aspects.             I am very excited about this, yet I also feel afraid because I don’t know what will happen. I just rely myself to my father and sir Seier since they both know what will happen and how things will go on. I noticed my father feeling uncomfortable since yesterday, I don’t know why. But he’ll just smile at me whenever I look at him.             There’s something bothering him and I can feel it, I just don’t know what and it seems like he doesn’t even want to tell me. I just divert my attention from it to the important things that we will be doing today. I don’t want to ruin my mood about whatever that thing that kept on bothering him. Maybe it’s king’s things… I’m sure I’ll understand when I become one.             “Yes your highness, father… I am ready” I answered him as we kept on walking towards that specific room that my father had mentioned. There’s a lot of room that we passed, none of those were familiar. He didn’t even show it to me during that time when he took me to a tour around the palace.             Yet I know that this palace has a lot of rooms and secret passages, I saw it in the map that sir Seier gave me last time. There were a lot of rooms around here, and most of them are functional while others just sat there empty. But I don’t care about those, I don’t even have to go there.             “You better be… there’s a lot of things that will happen” he shortly said as we stopped I front of a door. It’s the last room in this section yet it doesn’t look so eerie, it’s just not that comfortable to hang around. The door has gold engravings into it, I don’t know what those means but it gives me vibes that says it’s important.             Maybe that’s why it’s placed here, in the deepest section of the palace.             He immediately opened the door and lead me into it. As I entered, I saw a lot of people, all of them are wearing cloaks that are gold in color, all of them, and those cloaks are like uniform. They already seated themselves in specific patterns, probably waiting for us to come.             Everyone that I have known in this palace is here, including those important people, those people in the council, and others. Some people at the back row who also wear the golden cloaks were someone whom I don’t recognize, maybe they’re part of some kind of organizations that are essential to this ritual that we’re doing.             “Wear this…” Seier handed me the same cloak that everyone is wearing. I took it and properly placed it on myself.             “Son, whatever happens, just do whatever you have to do, ok? Don’t do everything that is out of plan” my father reminded me again. Last time, he already told me something about what will happen, he said that it would be very dangerous so I better stick to the plan to avoid being lost.             He told me that my consciousness will be brought somewhere and there, I will do my task. If something unexpected will happen and I didn’t do what I was asked to do, I would be lost forever and may not return to my own body. It’s like my body is alive yet my consciousness is not, I don’t know it’s something just like that.             “The ritual begins shortly after, prepare yourself” sir Seier said reminding me and asked me to step inside the magical sphere and sit myself on the marking. I went to it as well as my father and sat into it.             After my father signaled them to start, I closed my eyes and waited for things to happen. Someone started chanting something that I don’t understand, then everyone follows. I can clearly hear all of them yet I don’t understand what they’re saying.             All of them got louder and louder as if they’re getting close to me, suddenly their chants stopped and the whole place became silent. I slowly opened my eyes and found myself somewhere I don’t know. I’ve never been in this place. Yet it looked so beautiful, it’s like a paradise.             The air is so fresh that it brings me a comfortable feeling whenever it hits me. I pulled my feet and started walking forward, every step I make feels so light as it touched the softest ground I ever laid my foot on. I can feel it in between the soles of my shoes.             Everything is pleasing. The trees are so green towering above, the plants and flowers looked so welcoming and satisfying. It’s like my eyes could never get enough of it. I continued walking forward as I kept on appreciating everything that I see in this place. I wonder where this is.             “Father!” I called as I saw him standing somewhere staring at something, probably waiting for me. He smiled the moment he laid his eyes upon me, yet that smile didn’t even reach his eyes. What’s wrong? I ran to him so that we could start what we have to do.             “What took you so long?” he asked as I got near him “Follow me” he said             He started walking forward following a path that leads to somewhere. It’s so cool, every step we make glows vibrantly. I enjoyed looking at it. After a few minutes of walking, I saw a very long stairway that lead up straight above to a cloud. I don’t see what it is since it’s covered with thick clouds.             “Where are we father?” I asked him before we went up             “In the realm of the Gods…” he quickly answered… what? The… realm of the Gods? What are we doing here? Viggo also lives here, the Legendary Thunder Guardian that we saw a long time ago… the other Guardians also live here.             “Let’s go, they’re waiting for us” he said and started climbing the stairs             “Who?” I shortly asked, yet he didn’t answer and just silently walked. I just followed him, the stairs seemed to be so long and it’s way above so it would take us time to get there.             I heard a loud noise that headed to us. I turned my head to see what it was, they’re so loud and they’re fast approaching us. It’s Lux the Legendary Azhakkstadd Guardian, she’s a Sunset Moth. Along with Zenta the Legendary Sorcerer Guardian, he’s a Ziz. Orga the Legendary Dragon Guardian, he’s a  Zmey Gorynych.             Fryr the Legerndary Air Guardian, she’s a Unicorn Pegasus. Revna the Legendary Fire Guardian, she’s a Phoenix. Agnar the Legendary Ice Guardian, he’s a peregrine falcon. And Gorm the Legendary Guardian of Unknown, he’s a griffin. They all flew towards us and as soon as they got close, they flew above and vanished beyond those clouds.             “They all look beautiful” I commented, as soon as I looked at my father, he just smiled and then he also vanished beyond the thick cloud. I just followed him and opened my eyes in such a wonderful place as this. It’s so colorful, vibrant, and breath taking. If the scenery below looked marvelous, then this one is ethereal.             “Come here son” my father called me, as soon as I turned head towards him, I totally froze as I saw who’s with him. He’s with the Gods… it seemed to be all of them.             “We meet again…” a cold and monotonous voice called my attention. I looked at him and failed to recognize him, but his voice and his clothing does ring a bell. They don’t have faces, all of them only has light glowing in their faces yet they’re bodies are the same figure as a human…             “Who are you?” I asked him             “I am Iantha…” he introduced himself… oh yea, he is, we met him a long time ago, with Kurezma and that Goddess name Agda…             “Why do you have that light glowing in your faces and not your face instead?” I asked             “This is our God form… and that you saw before is our human form, good thing your body can withstand our presence, a simple human like you would be overwhelmed upon seeing us with our God form” he spoke pointing to me             “I came through a process called transfiguration, I gone through a temporary higher form so that I can withstand your presence and---“             “Of course, I know” he interrupted me as I speak, yea right, he’s a God, he must know.
