Chapter-13

Sarah’s point of view

I didn’t know what to think. I was confused and scared at the same time. He caught me peeping and I was petrified. I was continuously fidgeting with my fingers and my legs became like jelly.

Garry- Sarah, come out from there.

He said in a dominating tone, making me jump where I was hiding. I didn’t move an inch, I was just standing there. It felt like my blood froze in my body.

Garry- Just come out Sarah, I already saw you. There is no use in hiding behind the bushes.

I composed myself then walked in his direction. I came in front of him but still maintained some distance between us.

Garry- come closer, I am not going to eat you.

He arched one of his eyebrows and said to me to come closer. A smirk spread upon his lips. I shook my head in negative in response. I couldn’t form words. When I noticed him from closer, he had red eyes, a more muscled body than usual and two fangs were placed on his lower lip. My gaze traveled on his red-colored lower lip for longer than I intended to, it was red as blood was spread on his soft lips.

Upon realizing I was not moving from my place, he blew a deep sigh, then looked at me and said_

Garry- look Sarah, I didn’t mean to betray y….

I cut him off. There was nothing left to listen to. I didn’t know much, but I was sure about this, that he was not a normal human.

Sarah- please just let me go. I don’t know who you are anymore. You are not even a human, I guess. You are a monster, while I am a mere human being. I am weak against you. I can’t do anything to you while you can do a lot more.

I said to him, almost begging and trembling, I can’t deny I was afraid of him. I liked him, but not anymore. Hearing me, he stepped back and I noticed a bit of pain in his eyes. He was hurt by my words and I kind of regretted the words the moment they left my mouth, but as the saying goes ‘ words can’t be taken aback’, that was the case right now, but I chose to stay quiet instead of making the situation worse.

His expression hardened in a few seconds and he yelled at me, almost making me deaf while pointing a finger in my direction.

Garry- listen you girl, I don’t want any drama. I am a vampire and the future prince of vampires and heir of The Ashton family. You shouldn’t have come after me, but now I have no option except_

Sarah- Except what? Are you going to kill me? You can’t do that.

Next second, he was in front of me. He was very different from the person I thought he was. The girl whose blood Garry was drinking before was constantly smirking while standing there, her arms were folded and she didn’t utter a single word. She had a devilish look on her face. A lot different from Garry. She didn’t have any fangs or red eyes, but she was still looking scared. Garry came closer to me, our bodies were inches apart.

Garry’s red eyes were piercing in my eyes. He was constantly staring at me with what seemed like a ‘helpless look’. His eyes changed their color and his fangs disappeared. He regained his beautiful handsome face once again. He grabbed both of my hands with one hand and he placed his other hand on my forehead. He pulled me closer to his chest. I was lost in his warmth until I realized he was doing something to me.

Sarah- what are you doing? Don’t you dare do anything weird to me.

I threatened him.

Sarah- Remove your hand from my forehead. What are you doing? I said remove your hands.

I felt muscles in my head clenched. It was a sharp pain in my head, hurting me a lot.

Sarah- Are you doing what I think you are doing? Are you trying to e…erase my me….memory?

Garry- I don't have any other option.

He didn’t utter a single word. I was continuously struggling against him, but all of my efforts went in vain as he was very powerful compared to me. I started feeling drowsy and my knees weakened. My head was in a lot of pain, extreme pain. He freed me as the darkness overcame me and I fell on my knees in a long deep sleep until what seemed like hours…

An hour later,

I woke up and found myself in a sitting position. I tried to open my eyes but my vision was blurry. My head was hurting a lot. It felt like someone smashed my head with a stone. When my vision started clearing, I found myself in a car and it was dark too. There was no one in the car except me. I stepped out of the car and noticed someone standing in the distance. His back was facing me and he was drinking as he was holding a bottle in his hand. It was late. I wanted to go home but I didn’t know how I got there. It was a cliff on a mountain. It was a beautiful scenario. I could see the city’s hustling and bustling from here. The city’s limelight and the traffic moving were just looking marvelous.

I tried to grab the attention of that person…

Sarah- excuse me, can you tell me where I am? And what am I doing here? Is this your car?

The figure heard me and started turning slowly towards me. It was so dark I couldn’t see his face clearly. He turned towards me, now facing me. He was standing afar from where I was. He slowly started coming in my direction and as soon as his face came into my view, a lot of vivid memories came crashing down my mind. I felt extreme pain again. I put both of my hands on the side of my forehead and fell on my knees with a thud. He came running and asked_

Garry- are you okay?

I didn’t reply. I felt some warm liquid coming to my lips from my nose. I touched it with one of my hands. It..it was blood.
