CHAPTER-6
Garry’s point of view
I'm Garry Ashton, or that's what they call me. It's not like I had much of a choice in the matter. My old man, in his infinite wisdom, decided to forcefully enroll me in this university. According to him, I'm ill-mannered and too outspoken for my own good. Can you believe it? He always finds fault with me, constantly telling me what to do and what not to do.
Living under his thumb like this is getting old. I'm no longer a kid, and I deserve the freedom to live my own life. I should have the right to make my own decisions and carve my own path.
But no, I couldn't do a thing except comply with his wishes. I never even wanted to go to college, but he threatened to cut me off completely, disown me, and even revoke my credit cards. I already have a bachelor's degree in business, but that didn't satisfy him. So, he went ahead and registered me for a master's degree without even consulting me.
As I stepped onto the university grounds, all eyes were on me, especially those of the girls. I suppose you can't deny the fact that I was born handsome; it's in the genes. My entire family is naturally good looking, and I've inherited those traits. And, oh, did I mention that I'm a billionaire? Yes, you heard that right.
My father owns a massive chain of hotels worldwide, and apparently, I'm his so-called "future heir." But let me tell you, I'm not interested in inheriting his business, not yet at least. However, my parents never listen to me.
I've gained quite a reputation as a dream man for many girls. They're head over heels for me, but I've never been in a serious relationship for more than a week. To be honest, I've never been in love, and I've never taken the initiative to propose to anyone. It's always the girls who chase after me.
Most of them get rejected, and only a few have managed to capture my fleeting interest. But after a short while, I get bored and break up with them. It seems like all they want is my money and my looks. However, one incident caught my attention as I was heading to my classroom.
There she was, a girl who looked like a nerd, stumbling over her words. She approached me with a bunch of flowers, mumbling something incoherent. It was quite a sight, I must say. She was wearing goggles, had messy hair, and her hoodie and jeans appeared as if they hadn't seen a washing machine in months. But she had a weird smile on her face.
She seemed to believe that I would accept her as my girlfriend just because she brought me flowers. Well, she was wrong, and I didn't hesitate to show it. I tossed the flowers onto the floor and walked past her, stepping on them along the way. I could hear her muttering curses under her breath, which were undoubtedly meant for me. But I simply ignored her. Little did she know that I have an uncanny ability to pick up even the faintest whispers. If she knew, she wouldn't dare utter a word against me.
As I entered the classroom, all eyes were on me once again. People started snapping pictures, and I couldn't really blame them. After all, being a billionaire tends to attract attention. Amidst the commotion, there was one girl who stood out from the crowd. I didn't know her, but she was engrossed in her books, completely unfazed by the spectacle unfolding around her. She sat alone, so I decided to approach her. The other students parted ways, making room for me, but she didn't even spare a glance.
I took a seat next to her, hoping to attract her attention. But to my surprise, she looked at me once, casually, and then returned to her book. "What the hell?" I thought to myself. Is she blind or just deliberately ignoring me? Maybe she's too absorbed in her studies. She was undeniably beautiful, with her milky white skin, light brown hair, and mesmerizing blue eyes. Her lips had a delicate pink hue. She wore a crop top with shorts and long boots, sitting there like an angel in peace. The class began, but I couldn't help but steal glances at her. However, she never once looked my way. It infuriated me.
When the class finally ended, she stood up and started making her way out, as if nothing had happened. That's when I decided to take matters into my own hands. I reached out and grabbed her hand, halting her in her tracks.
With a self-assured tone, I declared, "You're my girlfriend now."
She looked at me, startled, and promptly replied, "What? Sorry, but I'm not interested in you. Besides, I don't even know you. This is the first time we've crossed paths, and instead of asking, you're ordering me around. No way."
She freed her hand from my grip and walked away, rolling her eyes in the process. I couldn't believe what had just happened. How could she reject me? No one had ever turned me down before. And on top of that, she had the audacity to roll her eyes at me. What a display of attitude!
Unable to contain myself, I felt the need to clarify my position. "I'm Garry Ashton, and you can't reject me," I retorted firmly, answering the unspoken question in her eyes.
She paused, taken aback by my response. A smirk crept onto my face as I observed her surprised reaction. In the end, she would be mine. After all, my charm is irresistible, and no one can deny me. Judging by her expression, she seemed to know who I was. Otherwise, she wouldn't have stopped in her tracks.
I felt a sense of pride within me. She looked at me as if she had seen a ghost. I smirked inwardly, relishing the fact that no one had ever dared to reject me before. I was irritated, so I decided to use her and then... break her heart. Now, you might think I'm ruthless, but let me assure you, I'm not just ruthless; I am the epitome of wickedness and cruelty. I am the king of devils, unyielding and relentless.
