“Ok, Luna, one last push,” Dr. Iaso says. I’m pretty sure she’s said one last push at least three times now. “You can do it!”
“You’re doing so well, baby,” Dominick tells me as he grips my hand.
“Almost there,” Duncan adds from my other side, gently wiping a cool cloth on my forehead.
I huff in annoyance. This pup is being even more stubborn to come into the world than the egg was.
The past six months have been quiet, compared to the first few months after I met Duncan and Dominick. No kidnappings, no crazy ex’s, no drama from business partners secretly trying to make their daughter the Luna.
Huh. I guess pretty much all of the cr*p we went through was because of Dominick. I’ve already forgiven him, though, so I guess I can’t really blame him.
