Chloe As the sun fights its way through the dirty window I sit up and rub my eyes while I yawn. Try as I might, I could not get very much sleep last night. Dreams of lounging on the couch with Duncan and Dominick ended with Indira laughing in my face while Duncan blew fire at me. I hug my knees to my chest and rest my forehead on them, fighting back tears. The hopelessness makes it hard to remember why I wanted out of here in the first place. Maybe I should just resign myself to my fate and let Paul kill me. But then I remember Kit, and if there’s anyone worth fighting for, it’s my wolf.
