Chelsea couldn't believe her ears as she stood there unmoving.
"Xander, what are you doing like this?" she managed to utter. She hoped that he would laugh and everything would be a joke.
But after realizing he couldn't convince her to reject Peter and take him as her mate, Xander had to resort to his last means of becoming alpha.
He had spent a whole month trying to convince Alpha Connor by working very hard to prove that he would be a good alpha, but everything came crashing down as soon as Chelsea was back and he merely became her guard while she healed.
