Unknown POV At that moment, a young man stood in front of a witch, arguing with her. "I am sorry dear, but there is nothing I can do. She is too strong for us to fight her, even if we did manage to kidnap and kill her," the witch whispered to the angry werewolf in front of her. Even though they were alone inside her room, she couldn't risk being heard talking about killing the alpha of one of the strongest packs. "...they will have a way of knowing who had her blood in their hands and they will find us and kill us, even you would not go scot-free," the witch reminded him of the reason why he still haven't killed the said woman. Witches and werewolves worked together, so if he or anyone had the woman's blood on their hands, they would get caught. "No," the young man scoffed at the thought of a woman being stronger than him. "There is no way I am going to let her become Alpha when she is just a girl. That title is only meant for the strongest of men," the werewolf gritted angrily. Just the thought of the said girl fully becoming an Alpha and he becoming her subject disgusted him. "Come on Amelia, think, think, think," the young werewolf urged his mate. The woman sitting across from him thought and thought for a while. "I have heard of someone who could help us," she said as something came to her mind. "Yes?" the werewolf looked at her curiously. "I have heard of a very strong witch." "And?" He urged her to continue. "She happens to be a fortune teller, and her predictions are said to always be correct. Maybe she can help us." "And how is that going to help us when we just want to kill someone?" "If we knew what would happen in the future, then maybe we would have an advantage," his mate suggested. In a world where witches and werewolves coexist, it wasn't strange for werewolves and witches to be fated mates. It was also dangerous to let anyone in on their plan. "Alright. That doesn't sound too bad," he nodded. "I will seek her help, and then we can see what we would be able to do next," It was hard finding a fortune-teller whose predictions were always right. But the young man was desperate and he trusted his mate. "And then we could finally be together," Amelia smiled at her mate. She was tired of not being with him for all these years since they discovered they were mates. And his plan was the only thing getting in their way. Amelia gave him the address of the witch, Morgana. And on that same day, the werewolf went to seek her help. Morgana lived in a small, normal looking house with a white fence and behind her house was a small garden. The young man rang on the doorbell, while looking around to make sure there was no one familiar around to see him. It was past 4pm and he knew he had to go back home before anyone started looking for him. Soon, a middle-aged woman came and opened the door. Her afro hair was spotting a few grey hairs. She stared at the young man standing in front of her. He cleared his throat and decided to introduce himself. "You must be Morgana. My name is..." he started to say, but Morgana raised a hand and stopped him. "I know very well who you are, young man, and I was pretty much expecting you." She stated, but the young man wasn't surprised. One thing about fortune tellers was that they were known to be deceptive and lied a lot. "Then you must know what I am here for," he played along, testing the woman in front of him to see how far she could lie, or if she was as good as Amelia told him. "Yes," the woman smirked and motioned for him to come in. "And I have very good news for you," He took a deep breath before saying thank you and entering into the small living room with three sofas, a coffee table and a TV. "I am not going to attack you," Morgana told him as she closed the door behind him and motioned for him to sit down on one of the sofas. The young man knew right then that Morgana was smart. Werewolves will sniff the air around them in order to sense any form of danger before entering a place. And when he disguised his sniff as just a deep intake of breath, Morgana caught on. She joined him on the sofa and sat crossed-legged. "Are you going to read my palms, make me pick a card, draw on a board filled with sand, arrange stones or burn sticks or bones?" the young man listed all the methods he knew fortune tellers used to tell someone their future. "None of that," Morgana stated, her eyes twinkling. The young man looked at her with a raised eyebrow. "I receive my own news directly from the devil himself," She smirked, her eyes glinting with mischievousness. "Uh, alright?" the young man couldn't tell if she was being honest or just trying to appear smart. "Then pray tell. The good news." he urged, feeling impatient. "She will die tonight," Morgana said. The man's mouth opened in surprise. He wasn't expecting that. As much as he wanted that to happen, it just didn't make sense. "Pardon?" "You may or may not have a part to play in it." "What? You know I can't have her blood in my hands, I will be killed and I want to have everyone on my good side," he reminded her. "No one is going to have her blood on their hands. Be rest assured." she assured him. "But how?" He looked at her confused. "Oh, you will know what to do once the time comes." The young man stared at the woman for a minute. She had told him very good news. Yet he felt skeptical about it, since she was being vague. Morgana stared back, unblinking. The young man finally nodded. He didn't fully understand what she meant, but at least what he had always wanted was going to happen. Or at least he hoped it would. "How much for your service?" He reached for his pants pocket to take out his wallet, but Morgana quickly caught and grabbed his hand. "Oh, I will tell you once we win." Morgana smirked. The young man wasn't expecting to get someone like her on his team, but then, he knew what people would do when it came to power. So he said goodbye to Morgana and left.
