LOCKED WITH HIM!!!

CHAPTER-5

It's been a month since I have joined the school. I am trying to in this type of environment around me. Moreover, Steven is not letting me deal with Athan. I try to talk to him sometimes but he ignores me. I am getting used to getting ignored by him. Right now it's the last period and we were doing some science stuff. Well, tonight Bella, Irish, Zabel, and I are going to visit Steven's house. I am going to wear my black jeans and baby pink bell-sleeve top which I bought recently. My thoughts got to the endpoint when Mr. Jake our science teacher. "Wanneta you and your bench mate please take all of this equipments back to the lab," he said and I nodded. I then turn back to look at my bench mate uff Athan. We both moved towards the table where the types of equipment were kept. Athan collected the glasswares whereas I collected the chemicals. We both then carefully walked towards the lab and as soon as we both reach there we started arranging each equipment in their respective places... I was adjusting the last chemical on its place when I heard the door of the lab getting shut hardly. My heart started beating fast with the sudden voice I heard. "It's just the wind, relax!" I heard Athan's voice echoing in the lab. I sighed and then walked towards him to help. We kept all types of equipment in their places respectively and moved to the door, Athan tried to open it but... IT WAS NOT OPENING. I started sweating, I am scared of dark and locked places. I look at him and ask "now?" I shrugged and sat down on the staff's chair. Is he crazy!? "Are you kidding me? We are locked here and you are pretending like everything is fine, like we don't have to worry"

"You," he said

"What do you mean?"

"I meant you should have said 'like I don't have to worry' in place of we."

"What a crap" I huffed and sat on an empty table trying to calm myself. I was never scared of dark places before that incident happen.

*Flash Back*

Six years back, when I was ten mum and dad decided to take me for a ride in dad's new car. On way some men wearing masks stopped us forcefully, they broke all the glasses and headlights of the car, I got scared and shut my eyes tight. I could clearly understand that they were beating dad and slapped mom to stay quiet from screaming. A man from their group came to me and pulled me out of the car, I couldn't bear this all so I fainted...

I opened my eyes and found myself in a dark room. I was tied up on a chair with a rope and a cloth in my mouth. I tried to call out for help but I couldn't. Before I could take another step to rescue myself a man opened the door and entered the place, I couldn't see clearly that who the person was because of the dark. But once he came closer... Sh-she was my Aunt? My grandma passed away when dad was five years old so my grandpa married another woman with whom they gave birth to this monster, who is known as my auntie. She never liked dad, mum said she and her mother (my step-grandmother) used to t*****e dad physically and mentally. But I don't know why she brought me here. From nowhere she slapped me and then yelled "YOUR DAD THINKS HE CAN GET SEVENTY PERCENT OF THE PROPERTY AND JUST GIVE THIRTY PERCENT TO ME AND MY MOM" uh! There she goes grandpa was going to divide the property equally but once he got to know that how evil they were he decided to name the whole property by dad's name but couldn't because she was his blood too. The monster then continues her rubbish "but don't you worry niece! I have his most precious diamond-like daughter with me so he will for sure give me what I need." the smirk. I wanted to kill her on the spot but luckily she was safe as I was tied up. There she tortured me for two days, I even slept without having food or water. She gave me electric shocks, breathing was getting harder for me. But soon dad brought me back, we shifted to our small but beautiful new home where we lived the rest of our life before shifting here.

My eyes filled with tears when Athan asked "you alright! Why are you crying?" it was the first time in the whole month when I saw him reacting to something. I smiled and said "nothing just memories from the past" he stared at me for two to three minutes and then he was back to normal, again that cold guy the whole school hates. I wiped my tears and sniffed "You can share it if you want" he said with the same expressions. "I would love to but there would be no fun if I tell my past to the EXPRESSIONLESS person like you," I said giving stress on the word 'expressionless'. He nodded in agreement and said, "alright then, let's find a way to get out of here."

"Fine! don't you worry we can easily break down this door"

"Are you serious?" he asked with his brow raised

"Yes, wait are you not strong to break it? I mean it must be easy for you to break down something or someone with those muscles" I said pointing to his muscles.

"You know what girl it's as easy as to kill an ant for me but breaking down the property of school will have some cost" I looked in his so-called hazel eyes almost getting lost in them before he said "stop looking at me like that" I widen my eyes and said "I won't" I went back to the place where he was sitting and said, "Then just sit here and keep waiting." It is going to be the worst day of my life!

It's been two hours now and I am getting freaked out. How can I even trust him, he is a guy after all. I started rubbing my hand feeling uncomfortable. "You look worried, what's the matter girl?" I looked at Athan who widened his eyes waiting for my answer. I sighed, smiled, and then said "nothing! Don't worry" He nodded and I wiped the sweat from my face and tried to relax. I was feeling dizziness now, I bend my head down and held both of my hands on its sides. I had no energy to speak but tried my best and hardly whispered though it was of no use "Athan I am... n-not at all feel-fee-feeling good" and within a second Athan was standing in front of me. "Everything is gonna be fine, just relax. Try not to sleep" I nodded in agreement. He tried a lot of tricks but couldn't get away so that we could escape. "HECK! WHY DON'T THEY HAVE WINDOWS HERE?" he yelled in anger. My nerves were beating hard in my head. "Please it hurts when you shout," I said. He took hold of my hands and apologized "I am so sorry! I didn't mean to hurt you" my heart started beating fast, my cheeks turned red due to embarrassment. "It's alright" I whispered to him. All of a sudden the door of the lab opened and I found Steven and Irish standing at the entrance. Irish rushed towards me and took me in her arms "I am so sorry Wanny! I was searching for you for a long time but almost forgot that you could be here" I gave her a smile that did not last long because of the sudden action of Steven, he literally punched Athan in the face and he was lying on the floor "I always doubted your intentions but now... how could you just touch her without her permission?" Really? He just misunderstood the whole scene, I tried to explain him but it was too late. They both started fighting with each other, sometimes Steven was above Athan and sometimes Athan was above Steven. I asked Irish for water, she took out her water bottle from the bag and gave it to me. I took two or three sips from it and then stood up trying not to fall. "Stop it you both! Steven how can you hurt Athan without knowing a complete truth. And Athan can't you use your mouth to explain in place of your fist?" I said holding my hands back on the head. "You alright?" Irish asked I took a deep breath and said "can you take me back to the house". Steven cleared his throat and said "yeah sure I will take you to my house, Zabel and Bella are waiting for us there" I looked at him trying not to make an issue with the words spoken by me "please no! I want to get back to MY HOME" I said stressing my last two words. "Fine let's go," Steven said and Irish nodded. I looked up at Athan then and said "what about you? How are you going to get back to your home?" He gave me a forceful smile and said "I have my own ways, you just take care of yourself" the very next moment he left the lab. Irish helped me to the car and I sat on the passenger's seat. I closed my eyes and sighed in relief. Finally, I was out of there!... I woke up when Irish shaked my shoulder "get up Wanny, we are in front of your home" I sat up straight and yawned, then I opened the door and got out of the car. Irish said she would help me walk to the door of the house but I refused. I waved my hands to her and Irish. I turned to face the house when Steven said "Wanneta I'm extremely sorry for my behavior but it was all because I was worried about you" I turned tilted my head to him, smiled, and said "it's okay! But it would be good if you apologize to Athan too" I then walked to the house and rang the doorbell. Mom opened the door and said "what happened to you sweetie! Why are you looking sick?" I walked towards the couch and sat down, she brought lemonade and handed me, I drank the whole lemonade in one breathe when she continued to speak "I thought you were going to visit Steven's house today and you will be late. But seems that something went wrong?" I nodded to her and said everything that happened to me today, I even said her about the fight between Athan and Steven. She chuckled and said "don't take me in a wrong way my kitty but I think Steven has feelings for you" I burst out my laughter and mom hugged me. Later that night I had my dinner, completed my homework, and went back to sleep. But I couldn't sleep because I was feeling butterflies fluttering in my stomach every time I remember how Athan held my hands in the lab.
