His Abused Mate

Chapter 11

When the alarms went off, Ky pushed me inside and locked the balcony doors. Then he closed the curtains. 

"s**t!" he yelled. 

"Babe, what's happening?" I asked, worried.

"We are under attack. I need to get you somewhere safe. In my closet, I have a secret room. Follow me."

I followed him to his closer. Behind his dresser was a secret door. He opened it. 

"Okay, let's go," I said, grabbing his hand.

"No, love. I can't stay with you."

"Why not?" I asked as I felt the tears starting to fall. 

"Because I have to move the dresser back so no one can find the drawer. As Alpha, I need to be there to defend the pack."

"Then as future Luna, I need to be out there too."

"No Beth. I promised to keep you safe. Besides, if something happens to me, someone needs to be here to lead the pack," he said cupping my face in his hands. 

"Don't you dare talk like that. Nothing is going to happen to you."

"Neither of us can promise that."

"I can."

Before he could respond, I used my powers to shove him through the secret door and closed it. Then I moved the dresser to hide it. 

I left to go fight to protect this pack and to protect Ky. 

"Please don't do this," Ky mind linked me. 

"I have to. If I don't, you will get hurt. I can't lose you." 

"I love you but I can't let you fight alone."

"You were going to make me sit in that room alone while you fought alone."

"True. Please, Beth."

"I'm sorry. I love you."

I cut off the mind link so I could concentrate. I opened the double doors leading out onto the front lawn. It was a blood bath but it looked like we were winning. There were rouges but also wolves I recognized. Then I made eye contact with him. 

Jason. 

He was leading this attack. 

He started to run toward me, so I shifted. He shifted too but stopped when he saw my wolf. He only paused or a second before running at me. I didn't want to reveal my powers yet. I only wanted to use them when I really need them. 

Finally, we reached each other and started fighting. Teeth were snapping and paws were slapping. I clawed at his face and scratched his eye. He pinned me down and was about to bite me when he was pushed off of me. 

Ky. 

How the frick did he escape? The two of us cornered him but two wolves back him up. It was Celeste and the male wolf. They were on his side now?

Jason lunged at Ky and the other two went for me. Minutes later, Jason had Ky by the neck and we all shifted back. 

"Let him go, Jason."

"Now why would I do that?"

"I know what you want. You want me."

"Exactly. If you come with me and don't fight back, I will let your mate live. Deal?"

"Beth, no."

"Deal," I said ignoring Ky. 

Jason let my mate go and Ky ran to me with fear in his eyes. 

"Hey, it's okay. Don't be scared."

"Don't leave me."

I mind linked him. 

"I'll be back. I trust that you will find a way to save me. I believe in you."

"I'll come for you."

"I know. I love you."

"I love you too."

I cut off the mind link, hugged him and stood by Jason. Jason rounded up his army and we all headed toward his packhouse. I had no idea what to expect when I got there, but I was just glad that our pack was safe. 

We finally arrived and I was taken back by the number of wolves he had in his army. I had no idea he had this many. We were always a small pack who tried to keep the peace so we wouldn't end up as rouges. 

We walked in the packhouse and I was led to our dungeons. I kind of expected it to be honest but I had no idea how awful they were until I got there. I have never been down here before. 

Jason pushed me into a cell and had a guard chain me. Then a guy in a lab coat injected me with a yellow liquid. I felt the effects almost instantly. Wolfsbane. 

After I was injected, my brother sent everyone out of the room. He pulled something out of his pocket but I couldn't see what it was because the Wolfsbane was making me pass out. The last thing I remember before I closed my eyes was him coming at me with something shiny in his hand.
