His Abused Mate

Chapter 17

After I passed out, I was visited by the Moon Goddess. 

"Hello again. I see you have given yourself up to protect those you love and now you are paying the price."

"I would do it again."

"I know you would and I am proud of you for doing the right thing. Now you must save your strength for what is to come next. Don't use any energy unless you have to. Your wolf will help you store all your strength until it is needed."

"When will I need it?"

"Very soon. A plan has been set in motion to free you by Ky but he has yet to realize the cost."

"What cost? What will happen?"

"I can't reveal to you the future. You must live it out to find the answers you seek, but proceed with caution and keep those you love close by you."

I looked into her eyes and saw the sadness in her face.

"You knew my parents were still alive."

"Yes, but I didn't say anything because if I did then it would change the future. I don't write the future, I just see it."

"How much longer will I have to be in the cell, alone?"

"Oh, my daughter you are never alone. I am with you wherever you go because you are a part of me. Besides, your parents are beside you and you have a visitor waiting for you to wake up."

"Who?"

"Wake up and find out for yourself."

I woke up to the feeling of someone breathing next to me. I slowly opened my eyes and was surprised to see that Lucy and my parents were watching me. 

"You're awake!" Lucy said with a smile. 

I tried to get up and hug her but everything hurt. 

"No, you lay back down. You need your rest. We can hug later."

I laid back down and looked at her with tears in my eyes. 

"What are you doing here?" I asked her. 

"I came to visit you. I wanted to make sure you were okay. I can see you aren't but at least your still alive."

"I am so glad you are here," I said with a smile. 

"I'll always be here for you. You won't be alone."

Her words reminded me of what the Moon goddess said and I smiled at her again but her eyes were clouded over. She was mind linking with someone but I didn't know who. A few minutes later, she was back, but then she mind linked with me. 

"I am talking to you this way in case our conversations are not safe."

"Okay, what's going on?"

"Ky has come up with a plan to save you and fight Jason's pack. Other packs have lent their troops to help fight."

"And my powers."

"Your what?"

"Ky didn't tell you yet? He must've been waiting till I could tell you myself. I am the daughter of the Moon Goddess and I was destined to save everyone. I know it doesn't look like it right now because I look like crap and I am in a cell. Ky, the pack, and you are all part of the plan but I must warn you. There will be a price to pay for all of this. I am not sure what it is though. When we fight, I want you to stand behind me and let me cover you."

"You and Ceaser are the same. He said he didn't want me involved in the actual fighting part either."

"Good then we agree. You don't get to fight unless you have to. I refuse to let you be part of whatever price we have to pay for this s**t to be over with." I replied in my Luna's voice. 

"Yes, Luna. I don't agree with you but I will follow your orders." 

"When your eyes clouded over earlier, were you talking to Ky?"

"No, because Ceaser is my mate, he is easier to mind-link with. I told him what happened to you, how to get to the dungeon from the front door and the wolves hiding on the borders of the territory. Do you know of any secret doors that could help them sneak in here."

"Yes, my dad showed it to me when I was a little girl. In the forest by the golden looking waterfall, there is are 4 rocks that look like an archway where the water comes from. Behind there is an entryway. There are two paths. To the right is an escape route to Canada and to the left it leads to our last floor, the one right above this one. The door leads into a small room with a tiny window with red curtains, a small bed, a dresser, and a bathroom. It is the one closest to the elevator. It's the only way to come in undetected."

"Elizbeth, that's my room."

"That's perfect. Unlink with me and tell Ceaser."

We ended the conversation and Lucy contacted Ceaser. 

Tomorrow the Red Moon pack was going to strike and Lucy needed to be in my cell with me when it happens. She decided to stay the night in my cell in case the bleeding started again and so I could tell her what happened to me. I told her about Silver Eyes, Hazel Eyes, and Golden Eyes. Then I told her about the little girl who put the blanket over me. 

I fell asleep to Lucy singing to me. 

Trees and flowers dance in the breeze

How the sun shines down on me 

My love and life hugs me tight

Together we have wings, take flight 

That's all I heard before I closed my eyes. Again I was visited by the Moon Goddess. 

"Am I just going to see you every time I fall asleep or something?"

"Not all the time but most of the time. Tonight we need to get you ready for the battle tomorrow. You have done a good job today of saving your strength. I want you to practice your powers to boost your confidence for tomorrow." 

We practiced until I had to wake up because Lucy was shaking me awake. 

"Elizabeth," Lucy said as I opened my eyes. 

Then she mind linked me. 

"It's almost time. Ky and Ceaser mind linked me. They should be here in about 20 minutes. They followed your instructions and will let us know when they are in my room."

"The way out and in is underneath your bed so tell them to be careful. What time is it?"

"You slept through last night and today. It is now 10 pm. I must have been because of all the trauma you have had to endure."

I can't believe I slept for almost 24 hours which means that was how long I was practicing my powers with the Moon Goddess. 

While Lucy was braiding my hair to get it out of the way for later, I saw a small figure appear in the cell entry way. It was Luna Marie and she had something in her hands. They were keys. Lucy got up and Marie handed them to her. 

" I know what is to come. A battle between the Red Moon pack and us. I want no part in it. I never have which is why I am helping you. It is only fair that you be given a way to escape. Elizabeth you don't deserve to be treated this way anymore. So fight and live. Live happily ever after with your mate."

She left with tears in her eyes. That is the most she has ever said to me. This whole time she has cared about me and I didn't even realize it. She was there at my parent's funeral, holding me while I cried in her arms. She always bought first aid supply stuff for the packhouse but I think it was mainly for me. She handed me a towel when Jason dumped stuff on my head. She was there for me in any way she could be without Jason finding out. If he did, he would have punished me more. All I can do now is hope that she finds a good place to hide until this all blows over.
