Sage's eyes struggled to open, her head pounding with a massive headache. She groaned. Her whole body ached. “Hey," a voice said. “Helena, she's awake." There was a shuffling of feet as someone approached. “Hey, chia," she heard her mother's voice. Sage forced her eyes open, but it took a moment for her vision to clear, the room spinning. She was laying down on a bed, though she didn't recognize the room. On her right, her mother sat on the edge of the bed, grasping her hand tightly. To her left sat Caspian.
