I made my eyes round as the gray-eyed man walked over to me with a calculated and cautious step. His body seemed to tighten and his hands clenched on both sides of his body until veins popped up on the surface of his skin. It's undeniable that this man who is walking in front of me looks so handsome and almost perfect. My eyes were unable to move from his face like a Greek god. The color of his hair when viewed from afar is black, but when viewed from close up it turns out that the real color is dark brown. That hair was styled so perfectly. Aside from his beautiful dark gray eyes, this man has perfect eyebrows and curling eyelashes. I'm sure all women who see that will envy this man, including me. His sharp nose and lips are also so tempting. Then his sharp jaw filled with a thin beard added to the man's mature impression, but what surprised me a little was a scar that was clearly visible. The scar appeared to be quite long from the right end of his eyebrows and extended down to his chin which was covered by a thin beard, but for some reason it added a dangerous impression to him. My body trembled violently when this man was so close to me and with all his energy, I said, "Excuse me, sir? Can I help you?" "MINE!" he hissed then growled softly. I feel more scared and intimidated by this man in front of me. His posture looks similar to Edward's, only this man looks taller and bigger. I gulped and turned my gaze towards the people standing behind this man. Please give me a look at all of them, but what I get is that they all look at me with happy eyes? What the hell?!! I looked back at the man in front of me and saw him reaching out to touch my face, but reflexively I edge the hand and thoughtlessly turned and ran. Ignoring all the consequences that are in front of me. "Gween? What's wrong with you?" asked one of my coworkers when she saw me entering the room with short breaths and messy clothes. I ignored the question and quickly flashed my bag and coat and ran to the elevator. My instincts say to run, but my heart says to stay. I feel confused because my heart and mind are not in line. But in the end I decided to run. It didn't take long for me to enter the elevator, but it seemed like luck was not taking my side right now because before the metal door closed, a pair of hands held it and the strange man walked into the elevator. I breathed when I saw him glaring at me. He walked over to me and cornered me in a corner of the elevator. Both of his arms stretched out immediately locked me in a corner and his handsome face that displayed an angry expression approached me. His breath hit my face and slowly his gray eyes turned to gold, huh? "Why did you run away from me, little mate?" I frowned to hear him call me that. My arms stretched out trying to distance themselves from my body by pushing his chest, but my efforts were only in vain. He moved closer to his body which was hard as steel until we clung to each other. My body trembled when I felt the shock coming from the touch of his hand on my cheek. He closed his eyes and when those eyes opened, his eyes turned back from being golden to gray. The eyes stared at me for a long time and a second later he moved away like I was a disease to be avoided. My eyes watched that man standing in front of me. His eyes were closed and as if he was restraining himself from doing something, I frowned and wanted to ask if he was okay and also about his strange behavior and gestures, but I didn't, so when the sound of the elevator clinked and the iron door opened. That man's eyes opened and watched me closely. His hands grip the iron handle available in the elevator so tightly. I hesitantly walked out of the elevator without looking back at that man. I faintly heard him whisper, "soon my little mate" *** "Gween, are you sure it's okay to be left alone?" Maggie asked as she looked at my messy appearance. I nodded my head and never looked away from the TV screen. Maggie sighed in frustration and walked towards the door, hearing the sound of a bell being pressed. It didn't take long for Maggie to open the door and find Edmund standing there. "Ed? What are you doing here? Didn't you say that you had something to do?" "Yes, I have something to do, but my boss gave me a new assignment," Edmund murmured in a mysterious tone. I felt the eyes that were wielding towards me and immediately turned around because I felt uncomfortable. I rolled my eyes and snapped, "What are you doing here, Ed?" then pay attention to Edmund's appearance that looks different. So neat and classy. "and wear clothes like that?" I asked in surprise. Maggie snorted and invited her lover to enter. "What? I'm just asking Magg!" "Yeah, whatever you say Gween," Maggie muttered sarcastically. She walked towards the kitchen to prepare a drink while Edmund walked towards the sofa. He sat carefully. His eyes did not move at all from me. "Why are you staring at me like that? Is something wrong?" I asked with a little clumsy. Edward shook his head and said nothing. He was still staring at me without blinking. "What?" "You --- you are my queen" huh? What do you mean by these strange and scary men? I blinked and that's when Edmund said again, "You look like a depressed woman." I glared and threw my house slippers at him. "You --- are too much!" I cried, annoyed. Edmund shrugged his shoulders and relaxed his posture. He grinned mysteriously and my eyes beat in annoyance at his arrogant attitude. "Gween! Why are you throwing sandals at Edmund?" Maggie shocked from the kitchen. In her hand there was a tray and on top there were three glasses of lemon ice tea. I pursed my lips and folded my hands in disgust. "He mocked me" "Don't be a kid Gween, you really look chaotic if like that" said Maggie in a firm tone. I frowned more and decided to change into a more comfortable shirt. When I returned out of the room in more comfortable clothes, I found Edmund sitting on the couch alone. He was busy typing something on his cellphone. I searched for Maggie's whereabouts and did not find her presence in the apartment. "Ed, where's Maggie?" Edmund looked up and looked at me closely. He watched my movements before answering, "she went to the convenience store for a while. Maybe it will be back in ten minutes," he murmured without averting his eyes. My forehead puckered because his gaze made me uncomfortable, "why are you staring at me like that? You're like looking at a fugitive than a woman" I walked to the couch and sat my body on the soft object. I reached for the glass of drink Maggie made and gulped it slowly, but I could swear when I saw Edmund raise the corner of his lips into a small smile. "really? It can't be helped. I'm a big general, so it's only natural for me to be vigilant like this." He grinned in satisfaction at my excessive reaction. I cough and hit my chest that hurts. "What do you mean, general? What general? You work in the military?" I asked in a hoarse voice. Edmund leaned his shoulders against the sofa and answered "you will find out later" in a mysterious tone and a strange glow in his green eyes. I snorted and decided to watch a program playing on TV, a little surprised to see a TV that was still on even though no one was watching, but thankfully at least I didn't have to bother anymore to reach for the remote. A few minutes later I felt extraordinary drowsiness and my eyelids felt heavy. I tried to hold back my sleepiness, but it felt so difficult. I averted my eyes from the screen towards Edmund and saw him watching me. A satisfied smile was clearly printed on his face and when I was on the verge of consciousness, I heard him muttering "welcome to our world Gween, Luna Queen" After that there is only dark.
